A posthumous nomination for who I personally found to be the most annoying poster of 2007, and the only person to ever make my ignore list. OJDidIt May he rest in peace.
JetsLookingforDWare... His obsession with trying to bait people into a Fire/Don't Fire Mangini debate, of late, has been more than a little tiresome.... In just about every thread he enters (outside of the draft section), he leads with a sarcastic remark aimed at those who don't like the job Mangini has done here.. It's almost like semi-intelligent trolling...
I agree, so I will also nominate him. He's way too sarcastic. He has potential to be a good poster. If he's good, then maybe next year he'll get a nomination from me for the Most Improved Poster award. Dirtywater also gets a nomination as well as Sean_in_titletown. Those two offer nothing.
The problem is JetsLookingforDWare is unrelenting. It's okay to be sarcastic, but he takes it to a level I haven't seen from anyone here. What Beamen wrote earlier in the thread is accurate. Here's one of JLforDW's latest posts:
Gotcha.................. I never really paid attention to him from that standpoint because we never butted heads.
Nothing to do with JetsLookingforDWare because I can't say I see the same thing, but this should be it's own award. The Chum dumper award. This award goes to the poster who attempts to bait other posters into the same old arguments over and over again, IE anything to do with Pennington, the 3-4, etc. This could also be called the Dead Horse Beater award.
I stepped away for a few months during the season, then came back with kind of a clean slate and read the posts for what they were and not who made them. People don't like junc because he is right most of the time. He actually remembers which game was which and what happened in each game, which trumps people who just spout off the popular myths around here and forget what really happens in the games. Then those people get mad.
You gotta give him credit for his encyclopedia-like memory. However, you can draw differing opinions from the same facts and declaring yours right doesn't automatically make it so. That just makes you arrogant and pompous. No offense or anything but I'm glad you stepped away before you went completely down that road.
No offense taken, I'm glad I stepped away too. I just don't enjoy the games and the season if I subject myself to this place. Now that it's over and I need a Jets fix it's fun to come and talk Jets, but I'm already getting tired of the same arguments and there aren't going to be any games to settle anything until July, so we'll see if I last.
