Tampa Bay cut kicker Roberto Aguayo.Tamp will likely go into the season with Nick Folk as their kicker.
Aguayo has been signed by the Bears .
I posted this because it made me think of all the posters here who said that no matter what, Mac would have to be fired if he Drafted a QB in this past draft since Hack was a second round pick.
Aguayo was a second round pick and Tampa traded up to draft him so he actually cost a 2nd, 3rd & 4th round pick.
Jason Licht has actually been praised for admitting that drafting Aguayo was a mistake and moving on. Interesting.

I'm hoping that this teaches teams like us a lesson that there should almost never be a kicker drafted in the first two to three rounds.

I can't remember a case where it's seriously worked out. As good a second Janikowski has been, I'd imagine the Raiders would've preferred to have had say Shaun Alexander (drafted the next selection) or Keith Bulluck over that same time period.
