Please stop with any RB talk. I do t care if the guy can run a 4.0 flat.

We need a FQB first. We need to try every single year until one sticks

Barkley is more than a RB. Kid can dominate a game & destroy opposing defenses. He's the closest dual threat monster I've seen dating back to Marshall Faulk.

Zeke is sick. Fournette is an AP beast 2.0. Gurley is an animal. But Barkley is going to become an instant FRANCHISE PLAYER.

A healthy and accurate Teddy Bridgewater with a running mate in Saquan Barkley? In Green and White?

An offensive pipe dream. Wishful thinking.

In reality. I agree. We must land a FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK.

But no need to slight Barkley. This kid is a special, special, special football player.

And to be honest Darnold is my ONLY can't miss QB if there at 3. Why? Because Rosen, Mayfield & Allen all have multiple red flag scary traits that scare the fk out if me.

Barkley? Not one bit of fear he's going to take this league by storm. An opposing LB's worst nightmare & once into the 3rd level he's gone & secondary CB's & FS's will be over-matched.

If we had a QB set in stone, I would gun for Barkley as well. But we don't, so we can't.

The problem is, this isnt really about Barkley. Dude is incredible. He just isn't a QB. At the end of the day, RB just isnt as important as QB.

If the Jets draft their QB at 1, and trade Leonard Williams or Jamal Adams for the 4th pick, I would run to the podium for Barkley.

If the Jets selected Mahomes last year, Bakley would be the unquestioned best option for the Jets IMO.

Unfortunately, Barkley just isnt worth the Jets maybe getting their QB

You're correct but then again you can say the same exact thing about any NCAA prospect and/or current NFL player. Regardless of position.

And what about Rosen? He's already suffered multiple head injuries with brain trauma. He could LITERALLY be one or two head shots away from early retirement.

If Darnold and Rosen go 1 and 2 I wouldn't be upset if they took Barkley at 3. I don't really care what they gave up to move up. Allen sucks and mayfield will be another manziel.

You have to consider that the Jets may only like one or two QBs.

There is nothing wrong with selecting Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson at # 3 if our top two QBs go off the board before our pick.

If Barkley turns into Curtis Martin or LaDanian Tomlinson 2.0 it would be a good pick for us.

Last year the Jets could have had Watson or Mahomes, I don’t understand hoe last year this team had no QB with nothing on the horizon and their is nothing even close to the demand for a QB as their is this year.
At least this year with Bridgewater their is a chance we could have a good QB, the last 3 years this team has started Fitz, McKown, Petty, and they draft defense every year no screaming for QB.
This team has to have a favorite QB in this draft, if their no. 1 QB is there at 3 take him, if their top 2 are gone don’t reach, take the sure thing which I believe Barkley is, he can make almost anybody be a better QB just with play action he is such a threat in every way.
Darnold did not have a good senior year, Rosen with head problems has its drawbacks, Mayfield 6 feet tall ? Allen looks like a project, if there favorite is there get him if not take Barkley.

No offense, but he fact that you just listed three non QB's that would be good picks if the Jets two QB favorites would be gone is illogical. The reason your statement doesn't make sense is because one of those three guys would have most likely been available at the #6 pick. If that non QB would have been available with the #6 pick then why give up three draft choices to move up to the #3 pick in the first place?

The only way you thought process would be justified is if the Jets liked one of those three non QB's so much better than their third choice at QB that is was worth spending three extra picks for that luxury of a non QB at #3. If that's the case then the Jets are more f*cked up then I thought.

There is something VERY wrong if you trade 3 2nds to not select a QB.

Because there is NO CHANCE S.Barkley would be there at 6 to begin with; if the Jets did not move up to #3.
No chance in hell he'd be there @ 6.

    You don't trade 3 2nds for a RB, I don't care if it's for Barry Sanders.

You wouldn't trade Jace amaro, Stephen hill and Vlad ducasse for Barry Sanders?
