yes.. stephen hill has one last chance… as of right now.. even if we took a couple of WR's in day 3… will have a chance to compete with them. his main competition will be David Nelson as of right now? with another year under his belt and assuming he's healthy could he beat him? in a perfect world i hope he can put it together and at least become a serviceable #2, #3 option.

We just drafted a midget wide receiver who plays special teams. He also seems to play bigger than Stephen Hill who's a giant. It's going to be somewhat amusing if Hill is cut in favor of a midget. I think it's a likely scenario too.

I'm praying Hill comes in motivated and hungry.
I'm not counting in him but I'm hoping I'm wrong.
Hill Nelson Cumberland Amaro and Decker in the Redzone would be deadly.

If it comes down to Hill vs. Saunders for a roster spot I would bet dollars to donuts on Saunders winning the spot. So what is ridiculous?

It's not going to come down to them for a roster spot. If Saunders knocks anyone off the team it's going to be Jacoby Ford.

I'd much rather have Nelson if it comes down to those 2. He was a heck of player last year coming straight off the open market mid season. Ford will be gone before Hill. I think he gets one more year.

Jacoby Ford is also a good special teams player. Hill, not at all. I get that you're assuming Hill is a starter, I just disagree, and you already know that. Hill IMO is the 4th best WR on the roster at BEST. It's possible that he's not even the 4th best.

I guess we'll talk in a couple weeks when Hill is taking first team reps.

I'm sure he'll have an opportunity to win a first team spot, he just won't win it because he's not a good WR. He sure is big and fast though.

If Hill is starting week 1 I will change my avatar to Stephen Hill. It's more likely that he's on another team than starting.

Yeah...and the guy they just drafted (Evans) is probably Hill's competition.

Sure he'll be competition but so will Nelson. Evans needs a lot of work before he's ready to see any kind of starting role.

Well his chances appear to be getting slimmer with each pick.

These WR's are developmental guys, who may start in a year or two. Hill's only real competition is still Nelson.

On this team as currently constituted you could make a case for anyone to be the #2 WR.

Hill, Nelson, and Kerley are the only realistic options. Hill to me is going to be starting but we'll see.

Did we forget that Hill is also a developmental guy or are we just to assume he suddenly gets it?

im not sticking up for hill because he has been disappointing but lets break this down.

    1. he was considered a 3 year project… he's going on to year 3

    2. go back to the games when both holmes and kerly are in the line up heathly and he was somewhat productive

    3. he's still more talented then nelson and the two wrs we just drafted.
