Am i the only one watching this? I really like it so far. It started out a little slow but it's def picking up. They renewed it for a second season before the premier.

The show revolves around blood and gore, and nudity. Although it has a good script and a good story. It's got special effects similar to 300. Not quite as good because of a smaller budget, but impressive anyway.

And for you fanboys. Here's your chance to see Xena (Lucy Lawless) topless.

I lost a very fit girlfriend after making her dress up like Xena. It was a bad move on my part , but the memory is still as fresh as if it were yesterday. I have pictures

I watch the show, it's one of my favorite currently on t.v.

After last Friday's episode (the fifth of the season), it has definitely started to pick up. I just find it to be an entertaining show. It seems that the script is spoken in modern tongue (for example, "C-nt" calling and "Stick your c-ck in it's mouth and f-ck it. You have to f-ck death, not fear it."), but it works.

Spartacus (the character) is so bad ass it's not even funny. Really glad to read that there is going to be a Season 2.

The lastest episode was finally, fairly decent. The arena battles remind me of old kung fu movies. The combatants might die after 7 or 8 fatal injuries. Maybe not. At least they did some character development. That last fight was fun to watch. worth watching again.

After watching the latest episode (6th), Batiatus is scum. It's official. I was wondering how his scum personality would come out eventually, but didn't see it coming the way he did it.

Yeah, he's gonna get his. What is the name of the gay boy? Dominicus is going to have to kill him and Batiatus to tie up the loose ends, or he's going to get caught for murdering the magistrates' cousin's family now. If he kils both of them, he can insulate himself from blame. My guess is he gives the magistrate Batiatus' head on a plate. Heads without bodies can't talk.

Pretty slick move to kill Lucy Lawless. Spartacus has no hope now, just anger. Will he figure out that it was his master that killed Lucy? That is probably when he leads the revolt, if the series lasts that long.

The series has gotten better, but the CGI blood is still a distraction. More than that, it's just stupid.

Starz channel. Friday and Sunday night at 10pm, available on VOD the following Monday.

It's a pretty good show. It is missing something to make it a great show. I have no idea exactly what that is. It has violence and nudity in droves.........

If you compare it to Rome, Rome was such a better show. It doesn't mean Spartacus is bad or anything. Maybe when things heat up it will get better. My guess is it has too small a budget to make it a truly great show.

I don't care about popularity, if more people watch it, it does not matter to me. For instance I think the Sopranos was pretty mediocre/boring and everyone watched it. Where you are absolutely correct about HBO is the fact is they would throw way more money at it. In that respect it would certainly be better.

Starz vs HBO is like canned tuna vs sushi grade.

I caught the premiere episode on the fly. I thought it was boring/gay, got rid of it. Perhaps I should try again. That being said, 'Spartacus' the flick, one of my guilty pleasures, is boring/gay, so what should I really expect.
