We’ve all heard this/that player linked to the Jets in mock drafts & rumors , but I’m wondering who you college football guys are looking forward to seeing at the combine .
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a player you think the Jets may be interested in or even need ... I’m just curious who those in the know think we should keep an eye on simply as a prospect for the NFL in general.

Who are your “sleepers”... where do you think they might land in terms of round/team ?

I don’t profess to know a damn about college football so my list is pretty short , but I thought it might be fun to get excited about some NFL heading into FA/draft .

    A couple of guys I’m interested to see are ;

Kyler Murrey- this one is pretty obvious but I can’t help but want to see if this kid can get tongues wagging & increases the value of our #3 pick

Jarrett Stidham - Like I said I’m not a big college football guy but I thought this guy has shown some flashes over his career at Auburn ... and I’m an Auburn fan so there’s that .

Dwayne Haskins - Boomer Esiason has been talking this guy up since he’s been linked to the Giants ... I’m always interested to see what our co- tenants at MetLife are doing .

Any O lineman at the combine ... especially the C position .
Supposedly the draft is deep at C so I’m hoping we can grab our next HOF’er at the position , possibly with one of our 3rd rd picks ?

If Mods think this should be combined with another thread please merge

  2. N’keal Harry-Can he run sub 4.59 & show seperation skills in drills?Could be a top 10 pick if he does

The blue chip edges-Bosa ,Allen,Burns,Sweat etc This will be extremely competitive.Who lifts the most?Who looks quickest?Smoothest? Most explosive? Bench,Broad,vert,40, 3 cone it all matters for this group.

    The Bama Williams bros.-
Jonah needs to show QAB & flexibility in mirroring drills to show he can match up w elite pass rushers.Quinnon needs to show athletic traits that match his production; Those fancy block shedding moves wont all work at NFL level

OL group- The OL drills at the combine can set prospects apart & unearth some future studs.See: Terron Armstead. Who can step up among Little,Brown,Cajuste,OU/Wisconsin guys into 1st round status?

I will be paying attention to the Olineman, WRs, and Dwayne Haskins. Haskins gives the Jets a chance at being able to trade back from #3. I want that very badly. I hope he lights up the combine and his pro day.

EDGE, OL, CB, and play makers ( RB-WR middle rounds ) are what the Jets hierarchy will be looking at in particular. I have a feeling they are gonna be looking at small schools for the play makers.

Well that’s possible I’ve seen one mock with the Jets taking him in the second round after a trade . I was thinking more like the third through the fifth rounds .

If the Jets stay put with the #3 I have to say it’ll be EDGE regardless of who they sign in FA. If they trade down I think OL comes more into focus with an outside chance of a guy like Metcalf. I’m thinking EDGE, OL, and skill player in that order with skill player being a distant third option as far as first round goes ....

Ed Oliver gives me a Vernon Gholston vibe , for some reason.

Iowa State WR Hakeem Butler measurements: Height: 6-5 3/8 Weight: 227 Hand: 10 6/8 Arm: 35 2/8 Wingspan: 83 7/8 (longest combine wingspan ever recorded)

Perfect weapon for Darnold, fucking wingspan is INSANE.

  10. Hes really smooth for his size, makes big plays & has a decent route tree.

He was alittle lazy on some shorter patterns including some timing routes he was not in the right spot for that almost got picked.

Still, hes a solid 2nd round WR w tons of upside.Wouldnt surprise me if he goes late 1.

Curious what Emmanuel Butler from Northern Arizona measures in at.He was listed at 6”6 just like Hakeem.

He's very good at making tough catches, contested catches. He has the best physical traits in this class, and he doesn't play scared. I don't think anyone takes advantage of their physical talents more than Butler at WR I hope the Steelers don't get him.

Really good receivers in this draft. Hopefully, we have a bunch of receivers with different skill-sets. Pats will take away 2 guys

    Metcalf is destroying the combine.

Ran a 4.33. 40 inch vert. Easily first WR taken. Beast.

So we’re all in agreement that DK is the no brainer selection at 3 right?
