The 80's alone exemplify how brilliant and prolific he was. While his two most compared contemporaries, MJ and Madonna, released only 2 and 4 albums respectively from 1980-89, Prince released 9 albums, all of which are incredible. 10 albums if you count The Black Album in 1988 which went to press before he scrapped it and had it replaced with Lovesexy, which was completely new and not a reconfiguration of The Black Album. That doesn't even account for Sign O the Times, arguably his best album, started out at as double album Dream Factory, which expanded to a three album set Crystal Ball, before finally pairing it down to the brilliant Sign O the Times. the tracks from Graffiti Bridge, released in 1990, were mostly written around 1986 (and his stripped down versions from that time were superior to what was released) and you have output beyond compare. And we would still have to talk about his B Sides (Erotic City, 17 Days, She's Always in My Hair), the stuff he wrote for others like Nasty Girl or A Love Bizarre, or all of his outtakes, including Nothing Compares 2 U.
saw a headline earlier that his family doesn't think there is a will in place. oh boy. if true that could get very ugly.
^ I just heard about that today from the video abyzmul posted. Apparently he has some fully produced music videos in a vault. For some reason he just held onto them rather than release them to the public. Crazy.
It took Jimi's family decades to whack up his inventory of music, we might be partying like it's 2099 by the time that music is made public. _
You ain't kiddin Stokes. That's gonna be one helluva fight for ownership. Should make the Michael Jackson fight look like a walk in the park. I just hope it doesn't get too ugly. So far, I'm remembering the James Brown brawl, the Michael Jackson brawl, the Barry White brawl....
heard on the radio that when there is no will, by law the family automatically splits everything evenly. let's see how that plays out
The Associated Press ✔@AP BREAKING: Law enforcement official tells AP that tests show Prince died of an opioid overdose. 11:59 AM - 2 Jun 2016
Im not surprised. Tho i dont think its classified As say a heroin overdose. You dont go to the pharm and get fentanyl is formulated to be a very slow tapered release and isnt something used to treat acute pain because of the formulation of the drug. More likely if he was taking oxy or morphine, that combo probably caused his respiratory depression. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Everyone knew it. We just had to wait while some coroner milks it. They knew this within a couple hours. Call me the poster formerly known as Don't Care.
Is a police report good enough for you? Sometimes, you have to just deal with the fact that TMZ has enough money to pay for the actual news these days. It's annoying but true.
I remember when a good time at 230 in the morning on Friday involved copious amounts of booze and drugs. Sucks getting old.
