Cutler is overrated. He was considered a 2nd round pick when the season ended. Now he's suddenly better than Leinart and Young? His stock is rising based on potential, not production on the college level. Therefore he's overrated right now.

The media considered him a 2nd round pick. Not scouts.

And now he's considered a top 5 pick. Possibly higher than Leinart and Young. That = overrated.

And now the same media is considering him the best QB in the draft. Any way you slice it, his stock has risen way too high.

Yeah, because putting up good workout numbers is much more impressive than playing in the national championship game, and being Heisman Trophy finalists. But I guess offseason workouts are more impressive than what you do during the season. Just ask Dewayne Robertson.

But what does it matter what they have done after the season? Both of them produced MUCH more than Cutler ON THE FIELD... We are not drafting a guy who we want to look good when the team's at training camp. We're drafting a guy to play 16+ games and win us a Super Bowl..

Cutler is overrated because he moved up so quick. The most underated QB to me is Ingle Martin. He also has Cutler as the most overrated QB, not in the entire draft.

im not saying that at all. but when the teams are spending millions on your better off working out unless you the clear cut best. and this maybe the case for leinart. but Vince Young has way to many question marks for him not to be working out.

I agree that Cutler is over-rated... He does have a lot of potential, but he's a cocky kid who hasn't proven anything yet...

I don't care what the media thinks. The professional scouts have liked him for a long time.

Liked him enough to rank him ahead of Leinart and Young, during the season? I find that hard to believe.

The media is doing that. Most scouts only moved him up a little bit based on his Senior Bowl, Combine, etc. The media is what has over-hyped him, they thought he would be an early 2nd round pick, but the scouts have maintained he would be a first rounder no doubt. Like I said, the scouts moved him up the board slightly, from a mid-1st rounder to top 6-8 pick. Not that radical.

    Hello!

He's the best by far! I mean bench press always beats out performance.

    1. Cutler-best bench press
    2. Young-won a title...impressively
    3. Leinart-won 2 titles and a heisman (big deal)

College achievments dont mean shit. in the nfl how many highly productive players go undrafted each year?. cutler has the physical skill set you look for in franchise qb. all his cons are coachable why do you think scouts like him so much. he is closer to playing in the nfl than vince young is.

The media needs to chill out then, because they are going overboard with the love-fest.
