He's the worst offensive coordinator in my lifetime. To me of all time. His inability to get the offense in rhythm pissed me the F off.

You must be in your early 20s.

So what is this a Paul Hackett v Brian Schottenheimer debate? Who else do you add onto the list?

Doesn't matter, you'd have to ask Google what I was talking about.

Going by recent coordinators I'd take Hackett or schottenheimer over Tony Sparano any day of the week and it isn't even close.

I've seen better comebacks from you, but hard to have a comeback when there's 0 substance.

BTW I don't consider Sparano a true OC. Let's just call that one a mistake in terms of his title.

and that would be exactly why he would be considered a worse OC than schottenheimer.

my hatred for Schottenheimer runs deep because he was here when we traded up for Mark, failed to develop him. Couldn't score a touchdown for WEEKS. Couldn't get the offense in any real sort of rhythm. Remember that in like 2009 we couldn't score a TD for like 6 or 7 quarters? It was embarrassing.

He was an OC that had a lot of experience unlike Sparano, who shouldn't have been one in the first place, it should've been Todd Haley

i agree with you that brian was not a good oc, he should have been out of here long before he ended up being run out and he hurt the team on a weekly basis. most hated i can give you and i can completely understand it.

and i also agree that sparano should never have been an oc. but he was, thanks rex, and he was bad, really really bad. so bad that he will never get another opportunity to be an oc.

however i didnt realize he was actually an oc in college and fairly successful. i had also forgotten that he was an oc for the cowboys for a year. my god what a terrible hire by rex.

its also pretty amazing how much our fanbase tends to hate our ocs, and its for good reason because they often suck balls. between hackett, schotty, sparano

I blame Rex more than Schottenheimer. We had 3 different OCs, 2 different GMs and numerous QBs in Rex's tenure and the offense was always shit. The one constant was Rex Ryan. I'll blame the guy that was there the whole time and consistent more than anyone. Look for Buffalo's offense to get progressively worse and worse.

its a shame the guy hates offense so much that he even undermines his own offense. big fat moron he is.

I agree Rex was an awful influence. Schottenheimer also was bad everywhere he went and his main responsibility is the offense. He was awful in St. Louis also. I don't think BUF's offense will get a lot worse especially with Sammy Watkins dominating. We shall see though.

Watkins is a tremendous talent. My only argument in regards to their offense regressing into the future with Rex is that
a)in his entire time here in NY was there ever any young talents on offense that he was able to foster their development? I don't think i can name any. Kerley? maybe.. and
    b) today was voluntary team workouts and Sammy Watkins (absent of course) is on Facebook posting pictures of himself at a casino. Given Rex's problems with discipline, I wouldn't bet on much coming out of that. If Watkins is going to develop into the dominating player he could be, and I think he could be one of the best ever at his position, he's not going to get to that level with that kind of drive and no accountability.

To be fair, getting rid of Braylon, Cotchery, Brad Smith, and losing Tony Richardson for Plax, Derrick Mason (waived midseason), rookie 6th rounder Jeremy Kerley and John Conner sunk the entire fucking offense as much as anything, and destroyed any progress Sanchez had made flipping his 12/20 TD/INT ratio to 17/13 the next year.

He had 6 game winning drives in 2010, sooo let's get rid of all his weapons so we can give Cro & Revis alllll the money we have!!! And then pound defense in the draft.

Schottenheimer's offense was just so disgusting to watch though. From what I understand now looking back at it, he tried to use all that bullshit motion to try to help Sanchez to recognize the defense. The problem is, he always placed the motion man right back in the same place he started so defenses didn't need to react to it after watching one game tape on how the offense operates. Rex told him to protect the ball at all costs even if it damages the young quarterbacks confidence. Not to mention I've never seen an offense throw the ball short of the first down marker as much as those Jets teams did. 3rd & 9? Perfect time for a 5 yard stop.

So it looks like Sanchez will start in Denver and Lynch will hold a clipboard for a year (if Denver is smart). Hope Mark does well. It's the best opportunity of his career.

Rex is at fault, he kept Sanchez out there while he was in no frame of mind to lead our team. Rex is to offense as McCagnan is to drafting.

Rex played favorites as his tattoo attested.
