    @nyjets announced that Sam Darnold will be the Week 1 starter vs the @Lions.

    Haven’t been this excited since Fitz to Decker in the back of the endzone to beat the Pats.

    Probably 2010 before that.

    Yes indeed. I am currently in a Dynasty League (year 2). Someone dropped Q last year, and in our new draft (rookies and FAs only) I picked up Q early in the draft then got Darnold a few rounds later. I have Q, Darnold and Crow on my roster. That's the most Jets I've had on a fantasy roster since ... well forever ...

    This is an exciting fuckin time in this organizations history!!!

    This just made this season 500x more exciting! LOVE the move and LOVE the opportunity they are giving him.

    I think he's ready for it and I am hoping like hell he turns into the franchise guy we have all dreamed of for a very long time!

    Just ordered my #14 jersey!!

    Even tho it won't be the most competitive season, it's still very exciting.

    I can't believe we were able to draft this guy!
    Still can't believe the Giants passed on him either, which somehow makes it even sweeter.

    Yeah, gonna have to put some oil / provide maintenance on those tracks ... these tracks haven't seen a potential franchise QB in LONG time.
