i think he has the lowest bust potential of the 4 qbs and the highest upside. if he stays healthy he will be a phenomenal nfl qb. i like the fact that he was pissed, that he said something about it instead of being a quiet do what the middle aged fans want me to do kid and put himself in a position where he has to perform or eat his own words. good for him, i wish we had held pat, kept our second round picks and still picked up this kid at 6. oh well. on with darnold we go. i am SUPER happy that the dolphins didnt get him. ugh that could have been brutal, or the jets trading up to have rosen go to them at 2 and then us draft a flop. all in all things went pretty good on day 1.
I swear to God - and I don't believe in God - I didn't laugh. I just made a primal grunt. It's all I had. Nick Mangold's interview after the 'incident' is out there. rico college has the best Jets avatar on the internet.
I think he has the lowest bust potential on the field, but given his durability concerns, was by no means the safest pick. Darnold has a higher ceiling than Rosen. His mobility and athleticism allow him to make plays (in particular, throws on the run and under duress) that Rosen simply can't make.
I remember how happy I was we didn't have to watch this fuckwad behind center anymore. The Geno Bros on here were fucking awful.
WTF internet with huge pictures these days?! Sorry about that. ^I used to have this picture as my avatar elsewhere back in the day, Title Bar, 'Oh, Mighty Isis'. Everyone over 45 or so got it. I took it down eventually because I didn't want the Feds breaking my door down, lol. Anyway, Geno Punch is right up there with Richard Todd getting turf toe in his own living room.
Geno would have been an ok QB behind a great line. Nothing special, but serviceable. Same as Sanchez. I'm getting weary of the neglect of the offensive line at this point. The Jets will never have a high-powered offense if they keep pretending that you can build an OL out of low draft picks and other people's rejects - either by price or ability.
I wish him nothing but the best. He comes off brash, but he cares about his teammates, has spoken up for them every chance he got, never failing to point out that they had a more difficult road than he did because of challenging social and educational disadvantages. He will make a great player advocate. Now I have to take a shower for defending a bRUIN.
