Not a great sign that our best player is clearly taking halucinogenic drugs in large quantities.

for using ACC as his agent & Jay-Z to manage his marketing? ACC has some huge clients, they know what they're doing

Can anyone name a top free agent who was not a Boras client who didn't get top dollar on the market?

    CAA you mean?

No idea, but maybe this means Cano resigns and doesn't test the market? I guess Yankee Stadium has a deal with the CAA according to wikipedia above

The Yankees should've been worried that Boras was going to push Cano into exploring the market and taking the highest offer absolutely without other considerations. Being close with Jay-Z gives me hope that Cano won't nickel and dime the Yankees over close terms (and most importantly, the move gives me hope that Cano wouldn't accept an offer from another team if the Yankee's offer $1 million less per year, for example). Even if that's not the case, this decision means that Cano will definitely give the Yankees an opportunity to match any tempting offer from another team.

Gives me a lot more hope that will keep him and also won't necessarily overpay to do so.
