https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/16/movies/george-romero-dead.html This one really stings. The guy was a visionary (not quoting the article, just my coincidental sentiment), especially his first effort. That movie is really much deeper than it appears. Social commentary, for sure. Haha, the actress who plays Karen used to have a fan website years ago. It was great. Long since disappeared. Anyway, I've probably seen 'Night of the Living Dead' over 40 times. It never gets old. I know it practically word for word. Who doesn't hate the pain in the ass bald guy to this day? Romero's family will probably see him walking around the backyard any minute now. They probably already went there with that themselves. Damn. RIP. I'll raise a glass later.
Haha, in 'Dawn of the Dead' (1978), the best line was in the mall when the zombies were stumbling around on the escalators. "Why do they come here?" "Some kind of instinct. Memory, of what they used to do. This was an important place in their lives." HAHAHAHA. Gets me every time.
Zombies. Because of George Romero we have Zombies. For that he gets an A+ in my book although I only liked about half of his movies.
