    48 years old. Sheesh. What kind of parent lets their kids play football these days?

    I guess it's possible that this isn't related to playing football, but it seems pretty damn unlikely.

    How long can football survive when it chews up and spits out its participants this way? It's worse than boxing at this point.

    not sure if i was alone in this opinion but i was very miffed that steinberg picked thomas over this guy in 1990.

    very miffed.

    No you weren't, and as if Blair Thomas having reconstructive surgery on his knee wasn't enough of a red flag (procedures being what they were 27 years ago compared to today), the guy was also going to go from natural grass at Happy Valley to Meadowlands carpet. Wanted an RB? Emmett Smith (Florida) was available. And of course Kennedy was out of the Univ. of Miami which at that time was dropping one blue-chip after another into the NFL. Dick Steinberg
