In a statement released today, the mosquitoes say “while we typically breed in standing water, the poor water quality in Brazil makes this process even gross for us, mosquitoes. Also, the political climate is such that people are very angry, which makes them more prone to slap at us and kill us. It’s not a healthy environment for mosquitoes, unfortunately, and so we must back out of the Rio Games.” Mosquitoes were previously expected to lead the 2016 Olympics in attendance. Their statement was written on a piece of paper using human blood as ink. Rio 2016 president Carlos Nuzman says the mosquitoes pulling out has positives and negatives: “Obviously, they bring a lot of bad things with them as far as disease and just being a nuisance. But them backing out just adds to the flood of athletes who have already refused to come. Yet some athletes, complete ignoramuses, barreled right on, gave their best, and earned their way to hell on earth. “Do I like the shot put? Do I like putting shot? Sure,” said one U.S. athlete who did her worst at the Trials to miss the team. “But do I like it enough to get mugged and have bacteria eat off my leg in order to compete in a competition for no money that no one really cares about even in a good year? I do not.”
There is not enough time to bail them out. They are in the middle of multiple different projects that have zero chance of being completed and they are completely broke. I get the whole Olympics moves around the world dynamic but this is just a nightmare. If people thought Russia was bad for the last winter Olympics just let them get ready for Rio, what a nightmare
I suspect a few palms were greased to get the Olympics in Rio. Sad part, imagine the corners that will be cut, just to get something ready. I see grandstands collapsing, no way they manage security, say nothing about food and lodging. You couldn't pay me to go.

I understand they want to move the Olympics around the world but there should be a legit 4 or 5 countries that it rotates between. Why would any in their right mind want to go to Brazil for this mess?
Lets not even bring up the ZIKA threat. This Olympics in Rio is just ill timed and as a result, a REALLY bad idea.
