This is big. By the end of the year, him and Brown were quite the 1-2 punch. Early in the year when Ricky wasn't in football shape and it was all on Brown, Brown got nicked up a little bit. Though I hate the Dolphins & this hurts them, I feel bad for RW. The NFL HAD to suspend him to keep things fair from a league standpoint.

Very true....I should have put it in the NFL forum I guess...but for selfish reasons...I rarely go there.

Sorry about that....if the mods want to move it...feel free.

Downright pathetic. I mean think about it. I remember reading that the drug found was NOT marijuana when the story first broke a couple of months back. I posted about that in someone else's thread over the violation before the last crash (er, can't remember whose - my apologies). They may not ever release what drug it was. I have no sympathy for dopes on idiocy. Idiots on dope. Whatever. Killed his career and for what. What a jackass.

Well, I'm not so quick to pile on. He could have been using a supplement with something in it that's on the banned substances list or something, these guys have always gotten pills like candy, and I doubt the league's policy totally stamped that out. Ricky Williams' piss is under a lot more scrutiny than, say, Jason Taylor.

Ricky looked damn good down the stretch this season. Will be interesting to see how Brown will handle the load

$hit happens, and he'll be back in 2007....

At least we still don't have to worry about the Jets or Bills this year....

Actually he might not be. In order for him to come back in 07 he will need to be reinstated by the NFL. To do that, he will still have to be subjected to 10 random drug tests a month during the suspension. If he stays clean during that time then there is a very good possibility that he would get reinstated.
If he decides that the constant drug tests are not worth his time, then there is no chance of reinstatement.

You only have to worry about your quarterback's knee and the fact that Ronnie Brown has never carried the full load.

You don't see the hypocrisy of a league that is actively pushing alcohol and prescription drugs on its fans and is pumping players full of drugs so they can go out and perform banning players for essentially recreational drug use?

I understand the NFL banning Steroids and performing enhancing drugs because they impact the integrity of the game. How can you have betting on football if the integrity of the game is in question?
