Vandy - I gotta say that there is 2 sides to your article. I can't speak for all indian tribes and I'm not here so much to argue about their way of life, I'll just say that yes, most reservations I've seen aren't great places and have many problems - but in those same experiences I've seen a good reason why this is, is because they won't allow progress or public works from the outside. The ones I've seen want their casinos and tax free gas/cigs, but try to fix their infrastructure, economic structure and you get resistance. Obviously the state governments aren't the greatest of entities but at the same time if these reservations are going to resist all public works, then it's a tough sell to blame any of the states for their problems. My feelings are that yes, those of us outside the reservation probably have a misconception concerning their rights with casinos and what not - but those in the reservation should blame their own leaders for fighting for things like casinos instead of things like improved infrastructure and economic programs. - - I have to make this side note that I think all of this is irrelevant though when talking about a team's football name
