So, all emotions aside, wouldn't you guys agree that the best thing possible for THE JETS is to have Hack, Teddy and Sam light it up in preseason, making Mac's job much easier and leverage a strong trade, regain draft picks, establish a strong back up selection and develop a real FQB. I love the idea of having the rich man problem to solve for once.
Despite all the movement & hype,Hack still has the best arm strength & size of any of the Jets QBs.He made strides from year 1 to 2,i expect feast or famine going into this camp. He’ll either continue to get better(whatever that means) or hes gonna be a disaster from the onset & be cut after preseason game 1. Dont think there’s an in between. I hope he plays lights out & makes the QB situation a huge headache for the FO.QB hell to a QB surplus sounds like a nice change. Still get the feeling that Bowles wants nothing to do w this guy & there isnt anything Hack can do to change his mind.To be fair other than mechanical improvement & a few practice sessions Hack hasnt earned anything.
Who knows, maybe just maybe Hackenberg will turn his career around. I very much doubt so at this point, but there's no harm having him around this summer. Who knows, he may impress and we may have a capable back-up to McCown and Darnold -- because if he impresses at all, Bridgewater is a goner.
How do you overhaul a throwing motion! You kick him off a bridge! Knowing the Jets he gets intercepted and doesn't even hit the water! Oh, the Word Play potential is so there, but I have to change my Depends! Signed, -Mrs. championjets69
Hahahahaaaaa how awful is Hackenberg. As an aside, just noticed the OP started multiple threads defending Hack but is now dumping on Teddy. This guy should not be in the NFL. He’s done.
Hackenburg.....trading up for Brandon Shell.......Devin Smith are three choices that makes me question Mac's sanity
Holy crap Hackenberg is awful. That pick was worse than the first. How anyone could think this guy could make it in the NFL after watching him at Penn State is a mystery. Love Macs recent moves but that was an all time awful pick.
Whut? Trading up for Shell was a stroke of genius. He’s pretty much our best Olineman. And cost us nothing.
He's shown promise...however I believe he gave up a mid round pick to move up in the 6th. That's a heft price to pay at that point.
