So this season is a wash. Everyone knows it. We'll be extremely lucky if we get to 4 wins.

SO, Maccagnan and Bowles have identified that we need to do everything in our power to acquire a franchise quarterback through the draft. We also have the second most cap space right now.

The defense better be ready to hold their own by next season. The last decade of draft picks has been spent on them. We'll likely only need to sign at least another corner and a linebacker. OvertheCap projected us at around $62 million, Spotrac is at around $57 million.

Add 3-5 players using $45-50 million ($10 to 12 million per year) -
*The ages are how old they will be at the start of next season.

    Offensive free agents 2018
    RB Le'veon Bell - 25
    RB Carlos Hyde - 26
    RB Darren Sproles - 34
    RB Eddie Lacy - 28
    RB Shane Vereen - 29
    RB Terrance West - 27
    RB Dion Lewis - 27

    WR Alshon Jeffery - 28
    WR Terrelle Pryor - 29
    WR Sammy Watkins - 25
    WR Eric Decker - 31
    WR Taylor Gabriel - 27
    WR Jordan Matthews - 26
    WR Marqise Lee - 25
    WR Allen Robinson - 25
    WR Davante Adams - 25
    WR Jarvis Landry - 25
    WR John Brown - 28
    WR Martavis Bryant - 26

    TE Jimmy Graham - 31
    TE Antonio Gates - 38
    TE Tyler Eifert - 28

    LT Nate Solder - 30
    LT Donald Penn - 35
    T Cameron Fleming - 26
    G Luke Joeckel - 26
    G Shawn Lauvao - 30
    G Andre Smith - 31
    G Jermon Bushrod - 34
    G Andrew Norwell - 26
    G Justin Pugh - 28
    C Evan Smith - 32
    C Weston Richburg - 27

I could get behind signing Allen Robinson, Andrew Norwell, Nate Solder and Terrance West. We have a couple of wide receivers that should be able to hold down the #2/#3 slots by next year.

Or sign say Jarvis Landry, Le'veon Bell, one of the more affordable guards and tackles.

You can transform an offense in an offseason where you splurge. Is it still apart of the CBA that we have to spend X amount of dollars in a four year period?

    QB - Darnold/Rosen/Allen/Best QB in top 3
    RB - Le'veon Bell
    WR1 - Jarvis Landry
    WR2 - Quincy Enunwa
    WR3 - Chad Hansen/ArDarius Stewart/Robbie Anderson/Jermaine Kearse
    TE - ASJ/Leggett/Draftee
    LT - Nate Solder
    LG - James Carpenter
    C - Wesley Johnson
    RG - Andrew Norwell
    RT - Shell

Or maybe we scale back at running back to beef up the offensive line. But if they spend the money wisely and don't load up on some big time corner or edge rusher, we can have a completely rebuilt offense with a defense loaded with talented high draft picks.

I added all three. You're choice.

No idea why you would replace one of the highest rated guards in the NFL last year, who graded out in the top 10-15% and whom we just spent big money to resign...We need a LT and maybe a C after this year
