Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein's gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials and others will be exempt. From the weekly standard its crap like this that scares gun owners.
I'm a liberal democrat and a member of the NRA. I support gun rights but believe in reasonable regulation. Neither the guys who are in control of the NRA gun lobby, which is many respects a whore for the gun manufacturers, nor this character speak for me. I will bet that a large number of hunters, competitive shooters, law enforcement officers and responsible gun owners who are NRA members feel as I do.
I own 4 rifles and twelves handguns and whenever I'm in the country of south Texas, I end up shooting some wild animal that wanders onto my father-in-law's property. I also shot a Bandido who was trying to carjack a family out on an unpopulated country road. Still haven't heard anything about that one. Of course, nobody misses a piece of shit.
