    It's truly laughable.

Montana is the GOAT of SB QBs.

Putting A QB who needed a taping scandal and WWE play on receivers, a brain dead coach going for two unnecessarily and a kicker kicking it out of bounds, and out of shape QB, an a coach outsmarting himself to try and get his QB the MVP to squeak out 4 Super Bowls over Joe Montana, well, you see how credible this list is.

This is really an excellent point. Brady is a Necco wafer away from being this generation's Fran Tarkenton. Which is really not an insult, but you notice he's not in the top 10.

NFL announces Super Bowl “Golden Team”
Posted by Josh Alper on January 28, 2016, 12:21 PM EST

The Broncos and Panthers will be playing Super Bowl 50 a week from Sunday and the NFL has been playing up the golden anniversary of the big game all season.

That continued Thursday with the announcement of the “Super Bowl 50 Golden Team,” which was voted on by the Pro Football Hall of Fame selectors.

“The Super Bowl 50 Golden Team is an amazing list of incredible individuals,” Pro Football Hall of Fame executive vice president Joe Horrigan said in a release. “Each name conjures up memories of some of the sport’s greatest games showcased on its biggest platform, the Super Bowl stage. Unforgettable individual performances like Lynn Swann’s acrobatic catches in Super Bowl X or Joe Montana’s come-from-behind game winning drive in Super Bowl XXIII are forever etched in the collective memories of football fans and celebrated as some of the most inspiring moments in the history of the National Football League.”

The entire team appears below. Two spots that seem certain to generate some debate are quarterback and coach, where the voters went with Joe Montana and Chuck Noll respectively. The Patriots duo of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are sure to have quite a few people in their corner and Terry Bradshaw fans will likely have a bone to pick as well when it comes to Super Bowl exploits at those two positions.

    Quarterback – Joe Montana, 49ers

Running back – Franco Harris, Steelers; Emmitt Smith, Cowboys

Wide receiver – Jerry Rice, 49ers/Raiders; Lynn Swann, Steelers

Tight end – Jay Novacek, Cowboys

Tackle – Art Shell, Raiders; Forrest Gregg, Packers

Guard – Larry Allen, Cowboys; Gene Upshaw, Raiders

    Center – Mike Webster, Steelers

Defensive end – Charles Haley, Cowboys/49ers; Reggie White, Packers

Interior defensive lineman – Joe Greene, Steelers; Randy White, Cowboys

Outside linebacker – Lawrence Taylor, Giants; Jack Ham, Steelers

Inside linebacker – Jack Lambert, Steelers; Ray Lewis, Ravens

Cornerback – Mel Blount, Steelers; Deion Sanders, Cowboys/49ers

Safety – Ronnie Lott, 49ers; Jake Scott, Dolphins

Kicker – Adam Vinatieri, Colts/Patriots (Vinatieri was the only unanimous selection)

    Punter – Ray Guy, Raiders

Kick returner – Desmond Howard, Packers

    Coach – Chuck Noll, Steelers

    Where to start...
10- Young? One SB and beat a mediocre Chargers team. Not a top 10 IMO
9- Warner should have won 2 of 3, but the refs gave the Steelers one game... still there are better options here
8 to 4 are decent picks.
2- Aikman? Two blowouts and a shakey win over a less than impressive Steeler team. Staubach would be a better choice (probably at 9 or 10 tho)
1 and 1a- Montana and Brady either way you could make a good argument.

Maybe at QB, but not at a lot of positions. Franco Harris didn't do shit in the SB. I'd take Marcus Allen, John Riggins, or Larry Csonka over him.

I don't agree with a lot of other picks also. It's like they couldn't decide between greatest players who won SB's or who played greatest in the SB.

Lynn Swann was not even the best receiver during the regular season, at least Jerry Rice was great during regular season and playoffs.

This list is crap, some players I agree with but there could definitely be a better selection.

Emit Smith? Ugh, that offensive line made Blair Thomas look like a pro bowl player when he was with Dallas, we know how great he was with the jets.

What about Anthony Munoz? It's like the Oscars, I'm boycotting, they are not representing the Hispanic community with this list.

Putting the whole TB Vs Peyton argument aside...................Just how awesome is that Denver Defense? I think we're all kind of acknowledging that they're the only hope for this game staying close.
