Petro, as this year is coming to an end and the annual fund drive to keep the mesage board running is again under way, I think it is also a good to time to evaluate the work of the mods around here. Take a look at some of their posts and determine if they are truly representing what you want this message board to be.

Let me offer my opinion if I may. I have found most are very fair and do a great job keeping things in line around here. They should be applauded for their wonderful efforts. I, unfortunately, also find some who just show up now and then, all of their posts written in the absolute (like they know all of the answers), they cannot be debated with because again they know all of the answers, and to top it off they wield their perceived power unnecessarily acting like they are above the "rules". It would be a shame to see a wonderful message board like this be stifled by the actions of a few.

Just my opinion, but an end of year review is always a good thing to do in many aspects of our lives. Keeps us focused as we move forward into the new year.

Well said Baamf and bravo to you for speaking up..Petro,I would hope you would listen to this suggestion..I'm pretty appalled & I'm sure others are as well to what has taken place between certain mods & certain posters over the last couple weeks.

I just want to suggest that Members and Admins/Mods should be able to talk in an open thread on certain situations, whether it be rules or just an open discussion where people disagree with what went down...

Now obviously if it gets out of hand and blasts are said at the mod/admin, then that person should be suspended...

But i'd like it where members can talk with admins/mods in a thread to where other members can chime in and comment rather than through a PM.

We need more mods who are online more often. As Baamf said, it seems like some just pop in from time to time, while others are on everyday throughout the day in certain time periods. I think there are lots of people who could do a good job with this.

Nobody would even want to be a mod here. It would be kind of hard to get along with any of the admin's decisions.

i think that being a mod on this board has got to suck. they get the brunt of the anger from decisions handed down from the admin. but i do think somethings should be looked at and changed.... and fast, to save this board from a larger collapse.
