You pretty much have to have a police officer in the family or donate a ton of money to them. It's one of the biggest scams going and PBA cards don't even guarantee you'll get off. If you donate enough you'll get a shield for your car that makes a lot of cops not pull you over, but it's such a joke. People who donate to the police shouldn't be treated as above the law. The whole thing is favoritism for the rich, essentially.

Hi WC. I only used my PBA card once and I never paid for it. Got it from a friend's friend. Once I saw it was effective I thought I could ask board members before I reached out to my friend to see if I can get one more. I understand your point regarding rich people getting away. I am not rich .I am just an immigrant with Middle East accent and PBA helps.
Yeah, you can get them through friends and other ways, you pretty much have to know a police officer or know somebody that does. I found one randomly on the ground one day, and it seemed to help get me out of a ticket once, but it's hard to say since I've talked myself out of many tickets without one, but it can definitely help, especially if you aren't of the Caucasian persuasion. They will be less likely to gun you down when you reach for your registration
