They are also available for events and are paid hundreds of dollars for a short appearance. I remember around 5 years ago when the Dallas cowboys cheerleaders sued the Cowboys because the Mascot was getting $65,000 salary per year plus bonus's of up to $35,000 plus benefits while the cheerleaders were recieving below minimum wage.
