Just wondering did this mascot exist before 2001 or like 99.9% of their fan base was he created when they started winning Super Bowls? This story will make him the most famous mascot in the league. I didn't know it's name before this.
I still find it difficult to believe that this wasn't just a setup, but if it is actually true that Adams ran and tackled this guy from behind without warning or provocation I hope he gets sued for every dollar he has or will ever earn. That is a completely despicable act if that is what actually happened.
You can't really blame the Jets for Adams being an ass when he's at an non-Jets event. If he gets sued, its on him - not the Jets.
Here's the video of what happened https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/jets-jamal-adams-claims-he-hospitalized-patriots-mascot/303108124
He was having fun. This is nothing more than a money grab from the 'mascot'. Who really believes that a real injury happened from that?
I saw the video, but at that point there weren't any quotes from him. He has now admitted that he did it deliberately, without warning, and without provocation, but even though he said "I'm gonna go knock this mascot out" before he did it, it was "just a joke," so obviously it wasn't a setup. I hope the mascot sues him for everything he has.
The mascot actually turned around and was tackled facing towards him, not away. He then turned over and pounded the ground in true WWE style like he was dying - looked somewhat exaggerated!
And I hope he gets laughed out of court. I can picture this loser showing up to court wearing a neck brace. LOL
He's not getting laughed out of anything. Adams will immediately settle this, since he is clearly as guilty as hell.
haha I'm picturing the mascot in court, full costume, wearing a neck brace now. This is a total money grab. I'm willing to bet someone 'advised' him, hey that hit was pretty hard and the guy is rich. Might be some easy money. gaming the system. #thePatriotWay
It's called battery, "an intentional unpermitted act causing harmful or offensive contact with the person of another." How much harm is a question of fact, the act of unpermitted contact is obvious on the face of it. I hate the culture where people think complaining about things being "pc" gives them the privilege to infringe on the rights of other people.
I think they still planned it ahead of time, the timing was too perfect, even if the mascot did go the hospital. The guy said that he was "sore" the next morning. LOL! It's not like he was really injured. The over reactions to this are priceless.
He doesn't look injured to me. I mean maybe he felt sore the next day and went in the hospital as a precaution but I'm not buying that he's going to be badly hurt or that Adams is going to get sued for everything he's worth.
