There are one of two scenarios that will unfold here.

#1 Oklahoma is using this as leverage to get their own network just like Texas does. They actually developed the idea before Texas did but they don't have the money laying around that Texas did to get this off the ground. They are trying to leverage a deal with ESPN which would get them the deal which would allow them to start their own network.

#2 This is going to happen. If it does expect Oklahoma to make the 1st move which would then give Texas free reign to follow as they could say hey the Big 12is dead without Oklahoma so we had to follow our interests. The other interesting thing could be these teams follow the lead of A&M so the Pac 12 could avoid being sued by Iowa St, Baylor and whoever else gets left behind.

Something to consider here is that unlike most states the state of Kansas is not going to force Kstate and KU to stay together. That likely means the Jayhawks despite a sorry football program could be on the move to the Big 10 and leave Kstate to fend for itself. If the Pac 16 takes place I expect the Big East to get carved up like a Thanksgiving Turkey between the Big 10 and the ACC.
