Darnold is so young and needs a lot of work. he def not nfl ready, he was just mad overhyped. So you think the Jets are actually gonna be able to develop him into a franchise qb? Lol. This is the same staff that thought they could make hackenburg good. If we’re lucky he’ll be a decent/playable starter who won’t suck ass in a couple years. Imo our best hope is that bridgewater can revive his career here. Save us Teddy, with your play-doh joints and girly arm!
Exactly... I like teddy the player... Love teddy the person but his chance of recovery is still a longshot according to people that know things about stuff.
He damaged the mcl back in high school, played on it like that for 3 years before it completely shredded. He's lucky the DRs could save the leg. I hope he does what's best for himself. Our training staff is one of the best in the league, I'm sure if there's a chance of him playing it's here. But it's slim.
Hackenburg was a 2nd round pick who never won anything in college. Darnold is the #3 overall pick with all the physical skills and intangibles and only a couple of issues to iron out (ball security, footwork). I'm not even a huge Darnold fan but its absurd to compare the two in any way.
Teddy will probably never play a meaningful snap as a Jet. Don’t know why you’re in search of a savior when we just drafted the highest rated QB in the draft.
Bridgewater bandwagon? Lame. I'm looking for the lunatic who is ready to double down on Hackenburg as the Jets' savior. That's a real Jets fan.
So, because "this staff" (Mac?) thought they could develop Hack (a guy a lot of people had going in the 4th round) into a good NFL player, they can't develop Darnold (the widely presumed number 1 overall pick for about a year) into a good NFL player?
