Well yea, the missing on entire drafts is the root cause. But we can realistically address one of left tackle/edge and center and maybe a dynamic playmaker. Hitting those 3 positions with a 1st,3rd and 3rd/4th round picks is not impossible if the talent is in the draft. Upgrade left tackle in free agency and suddenly the team has some talent to make a playoff run. It can be done. Do we have the front office to do it? Not sure but I am confident they will get their shot at it.
Agree but my biggest concern is the CS... they are terrible and we are again headed for the dumpster fire season.
I don't think we are off pace from where most expected us to be at this point and the team has looked about what I expected. I wouldn't call this a dumpster fire. we have had those years.
Totally agree with the pass rusher being the most difficult hole to fill....This team has tons of cap Space and draft picks to fix those needs .... it’s on our GM it’s make or break
very possible you get an edge in fowler and the rest in th draft. its probably best if you start accepting that there will not be a coaching change this year.
Agreed. There won't be a change in the coaching staff this year. Hopefully Mac ups his game and identifies the right players to fill these needs in the draft.
Mac needs to nail about 4 picks this draft and at least 2 of his first 3 picks whatever position they are . And he needs to find at least two or three starters in FA . That’s what 6 new players ? I said in another post about a week ago this team needs about 7/8 new starters ......make the right moves this off season and they are a legitimate contender.
Agree It’s my understanding we have more cap Space than any other team in the NFL with that... those holes have to be fix ...if not Mc pack your bags!!!
he needs to hit a couple of free agents and have his first 3 drafts show some serious growth next year. hit on a couple of draft picks this year along with sams growth and 2019 should be the beginning of a perennial playoff contention
The only thing hopefully we are a year away from is getting rid of Bowles and Mac because I firmly Believe they won’t do it this year
Looked to me like Shepard started to show up this game. But, I wasn't really paying close attention. They're gonna need him to be a productive player. There's enough guys from his drafts left to build the roster on but his room for error is getting smaller. This off season is where Mac is gonna write his story. On the other hand I'm starting to become disappointed with Jenkins. Our OLB corp needs a serious infusion: 0 play makers there.
2020 or bust.. 2019 will be another rebuilding year folks. If Macc fucks that up, you're looking at 2021 at the soonest.
Hope I'm wrong but he doesn't even look like an edge guy like in the mold of Bryan Thomas. Somewhere along that front, anywhere, they need a blue chipper badly to make everyone better.
