Antonio Brown missed the last game due to disciplinary action not injury as most believed. He may want out in Pittsburgh, it would be an interesting reunion if we can get Bell and Brown. Pipe dream maybe but it is the NFL...
Skrine and Kearse yes, Mo no. He bad a very good year. If the price is right, we need him back. Clearly you can’t rely on Johnson and outside of him we have nothing else.
I’m sorry, Claiborne was straight cheeks all year. He was a target, he can go somewhere else and...shine.
He was one of the best graded CBs throughout the entire course of the year. By week 12 he was the 6th ranked CB, slipped to 17 by week 15. That’s still pretty good.
That’s because when he wasn’t being targeted Skrine was being targeted, surely that bumped his numbers up some?
Even if they arent quite as advertised, assuming they arent locker room cancers(Jets players themselves who were former steelers want Bell FOR his locker room presence)you add them into what is already here offensively & you have a high octane offense.Their presence alone opens things up for the likes of Herndon,Enunwa & Anderson Then it becomes about OL.One gaping hole at a time
Looks like Brown has asked to be traded but the cost is too prohibitive for the Steelers. Can't believe there isn't a way...
Already requesting a trade, And with that said, absolutely positively hell no. Tone time 2.0. No way in hell do I want him anywhere near Sam Darnold.
Really? Were we watching the same Claiborne? Only time I saw him was when he was getting burned for big plays or in terrible position and if the receiver happened to not catch the ball he'd celebrate like he did something. He can go.
For those wanting AB. This is from Ryan Clark, who played with the guy and was in the same locker room with him for years.... The feud that is now enveloping Pittsburgh — Antonio Brown reportedly fighting with Ben Roethlisberger in practice last week, then skipping the rest of the week’s practices, then missing the finale Sunday as the team created an injury for him — stems back to 2012, according to ESPN’s Ryan Clark. The then-Steeler witnessed Brown in practice every day, saw the kind of teammate he was, and now is trying to confirm every “diva” stereotype about the all-world receiver. “Mike Wallace turned down his deal, and I knew already they were going to offer Antonio,” Clark said on “SportsCenter” on Monday night, referring to Wallace’s 2012 holdout, in which Pittsburgh turned around and gave the $42.5 million it had earmarked for Wallace to Brown instead. “When [Brown] walks past, I say to the strength coaches, ‘When you give him money, you’re going to create a monster.'”
I’m just telling you what the numbers say. I know that’s not the full story but I don’t think he’s anywhere near as bad as you’re making him out to be. He’s an ideal 2. The problem is he’s been forced to be the 1 for the better part of his Jets career.
My FA wish list is as follows: Current Jets to be re-signed Andre Roberts Henry Anderson Jason Myers Darryl Roberts Brent Qvale Brandon Copeland Doug Middleton Davis Webb Robby Anderson Steve McLendon Neal Sterling Frankie Luvu Deontay Burnett Other Current Jet possibilities Mo Claiborne Neville Hewitt Anthony Wint Jeremy Clark Brandon Bryant Jeremiah Attaochu Outside FAs OLB (1 or 2) - Demarcus Lawrence, Jadaveon Clowney, Anthony Barr, Dee Ford, Aaron Lynch, Frank Clark, Dante Fowler, Jr., Shane Ray, Shaquill Barrett WR (2) - Adam Humpries, Golden Tate, Tyrell Williams RB - (1) Mark Ingram, Peyton Barber, Tevin Coleman C (1) - Mitch Morse, Matt Paradis OG (1) - AJ Cann, Kevin Pamphile, Quenton Spain, Jeremiah Sirles, Marcus Martin OT (1) - Bobby Hart, Trenton Brown, Cedric Ogbuehi CB (1) - Ronald Darby or Steven Nelson? Bryce Callahan? Curtis Riley? Mike Hilton? Michael Davis? Bene Benwikere? Pierre Desir?
Daryl Williams OT from the panthers. Hes 26, started 4 years but got hurt in week 1. He had really high profootballfocus grades in 2017. Matt Paradis C AJ Cann G Frank Clark, Dee Ford and Trey Flowers should all be added to the list. Le'veon Bell RB Telvin Coleman RB Basically sign as many players as possible. Most will represent an upgrade. No good wr on the list, which means Jets would have to trade for one. There are usually several decent wrs traded each year and the asking price isnt huge. This appears to be the best route to improving wr. Unfortunately, most of those premier pass rushers will get tagged or resigned. Best bet would be to trade for someone who cant get a deal done, similar to the Bears. That let's the Jets keep pick 3, but trade away the 2020 pick while adding to 2019 team. Imagine trading for Clowney and drafting Josh Allen at 3.
