Arlight well I know I'm a dreamer but just hear me out. This is more of fantasy not what I think will happen. Anyways, First realisticly i think we should keep abe defently because he is a playmaker everytime he is on the field. Now to the fantasy part, say we keep abe, we use the 4th pick in the draft for a.j hawk, we get a fat mofo to clog up the middle,(preforbaly that guy from the ravens) and sign a solid veteran corner back. I mean that wouldnt take up all the cap space, i mean we wouldnt be able to really build our offense up but with a d like that why would we... Just your thoughts...
If you are talking about Kemoeatu (that guy from the ravens) he signed a 5yr deal with the Panthers.Keeping Abe I would love but do you think Abe will excel in a 3-4 D. I like Hawk but not at 4..It would be sick though "Vilma and Hawk"..We would be set for years..
You need to have balance and right now we basically have no offense. If we field that same offense, minus Mawae, plus a gimpy Chad and banged up Curtis we're asking for trouble.
if defense wins championchips, then balance must win championShips, which is more what i think we're going for. no offense there, i just got a pretty good chuckle out of the title haha
if offense wins games then wouldnt it win a championship if a championship is a game. that quote makes no sense.
The quote you say, "Offense wins games, Defense wins Championships" has to be the most overused and misused quote in football. I'm sorry, but Balanced teams win.
The subject title is a myth. Both offense and defense wins championships. Neither is more important than the other. It's a stupid saying in baseball too when applied to pitching. You need a balance of both but can win a championship when one is extremely dominant and the other is just decent (See the Rams and their opposite, the Ravens).
Defense saves games, offense wins them. Here are two facts of Football: It is impossible to lose if your opponent scores zero It is impossible to win if you score zero
Every aspect wins championships wheather its offense defense coaching whatever. They all have to be good to win a championship.
Yea I agree it all starts with coaching first, but hey look at this years superbowl champs, there offense was good but there defense was one of the best in the nfl, probaly top 3 argueably....
Whoa! Defense wins championships? Cool. Let's never draft another offensive player in the first round again.
