Bob Ninkovich retired today after 11 years in the NFL.

One of my favorite players - seemed to play way above his talent level.

Don't hate the guy, but you're right about him blowing up seemingly every play. He reminded me a lot of Vrabel who I was also glad to see retire.

Per ESPN stats and info, Ninkovich batted down 86% of all Jets pass attempts over the last decade. Or something like that.

    Won't miss him one bit.

Even in games against other teams? Wow, whatta guy!!!!

That stat can't be accurate even if confined to Jets-Pats games. That would mean the Jets could have no better than a 14% completion rate in games vs. the Pats. We know the Jets are bad........but not that bad. There must be some other qualifier.

Hahaha I was making a joke. He was always good for at least 2-3 very annoying PD's a game against us but obviously it's an absurd number I made up.

I think you meant to type Rob instead of Bob, but I will not hold that against you like many others on this board. He is another example of a guy who brought his lunch pail. Another unsung hero on a team where its all about football and not what toy you purchased lately.

By the way I wish the Pats and the Jets would go back to their old helmets.
