Similiar report from CBS https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...-withdraw-from-ohio-state-focus-on-nfl-draft/ I wonder if his injury was more severe than reported and if this will hit his draft stock?
The injury shouldn't hurt his stock. He's not falling out of the top 5. This story is interesting because I think this is going to become more and more common (remember a lot of players held out of their bowl games to concentrate on the draft too).
Smart move by him. Assuming he's healthy by the combine and performs well he should still be a top-5 lock and will probably still be the highest-rated player in the draft by most scouts.
I hope that move costs him millions. While I think it's an understandable move on his part (fear of being injured again and it hurting his draft stock and costing him money), I still think it's a totally selfish move to abandon his teammates, coach and school (even if I detest Ohio St.). If he's as good as he's supposed to be, he will still make a TON of money in the NFL. I just want it to cost him because he's obviously a selfish jag-off, but also so it will discourage others from doing the same thing.
