http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-...very-team-s-longest-run-of-the-Super-Bowl-era Did anyone else see this? It was great seeing so many RBs I remember. While watching it go through the many 80-something yard TDs, I was proud thinking none of the defensive teams were the Jets. Then when they hit the 94 yard run mark (I think) all of a sudden there were 3 long runs vs the Jets. One was by Chris Johnson of the Titans (94), another by Garrison Hearst of the Niners (96), and one was Lamar Miller (97) of the Dolphins. LOL The Jets themselves had one. It was Johnny Johnson (90) vs. the Steelers (I think). He was the slowest of all the RBs to get such a long run. Can't believe that AP had one (90) at age 33.
A.P. is the best back of his generation JMO. A truly awesome blend of size, speed, power & intangibles.
Most of those runs were a jail break, but of course the Jets had at least 4 guys get a hand on him and missed the tackle.
And, of course Johnny Johnson gets hauled down short of the five. I don’t have the heart to look up whether the Jets settled for a FG.
