Sounds like it's going to be a huge ceremony

@Joelsherman1: Stage being built in CF, rumor is Metallica is coming to play Enter Sandman as part of Mo ceremony

They say anybody you can imagine who should be there today will be. Every one of them.

    Is it pre-game or post-game?

pre-game. They want everybody in their seats by 12:30 and monument park will be closed early as well.

It's odd to have the actual big ceremony a few days before the guy's last home game too...I guess they just wanted it on a weekend to get as many people there as possible.

This is definitely a homer view, but I feel like only MO (and maybe Jeter if he announces ahead of time) will get this kind of sendoff from opposing teams. I feel like nobody else in the MLB is close to getting this type of reception.

Chipper Jones kind of got it

So what were your guys favorite gifts?

I loved the Minny broken bat rocking chair. Really grew on me.
I like the Green Monster green placard.

I guess the ceremony isn't being televised on YES? Or is it starting at 1 PM?

EDIT: NVM, starting right as I hit post.

Weird season. Part of me is impressed the Yankees battled to make it this far but the other part me is still annoyed we missed the playoffs because it's been twice in the last 5-6 years now. (This sounds like an obnoxious Yankees fan view, but it's a little startling after running of playoff appearances like nothing)

Welllppppppppp. There it goes. Onto to next season. For whatever reason, I never could get into baseball outside the Yankees where as with football/soccer/basketball/hockey I can throw on random games and watch, can't do that with baseball. Oh well.

Hopefully we decide to spend all that money and resign Cano, he deserves to be a Yankee for life.

Cano wants $305 million over 10 years as reported by Buster Olney.

    Yeah ok Cano...Keep dreaming.

Well it better not be with the Yankees...He is 30 and is not Miguel Cabrera or Mike Trout.

Pujols signed his contract at 30 yrs of age...And Pujols is a much better and accomplished player then Cano. Do I think some team may give him $250M? Sure...But we shouldnt be in the business of giving 10 year deals like that anymore.
