Kuroda is locked in and Pettite apparently has committed to coming back so the rotation is starting to fill out. Would be nice to lock down Martin before the winter meetings so Cashman can figure out what to do with the outfield.

Question is what do we want to happen to the outfield? I'm ready to part ways with Swisher.

    Gardner-Granderson-Ichiro?

That would be a hell of a defensive outfield.

If all can stay healthy, pretty solid rotation.

Phelps is going to be giving every opportunity to win a spot in the rotation in spring training. Pineda isn't going to be ready until at least June. Hughes, Nova, and Phelps will compete for the 2 spots in camp.

Forgot about Phelps. Good call, he showed flashes last year.

RussMart is dead to me. But who's going to catch? Cervilli is just not any good.

'Derek Eater'? Really? The guy has been injured! He'll be in better shape than all of us are by Opening Day. Just another reason to hate on Rupert (Satan) Murdoch's New York Post. What a bunch of turds!

A-Rod to have more hip surgery and will miss half of 2013. What now? Also, does this give the Yankees and 'out' on his deal?

Why would it? Since when have injuries been a away to get out of a deal?

Cashman should trade Nunez and Cervelli to Detroit for Cabrera.

So now the Yankees are taking to Youk's agent for third base. I know he's had injury issues himself, but nobody else at the plate strikes fear in me the way he does. Of course, there is also the Red Sox revenge factor. I never imagined Luis Tiant, Wade Boggs or Johnny Damon in pinstripes. Yet, they all made major contributions to the Yankees. Those once hated players became fan favorites in The Bronx. Unless a better third baseman becomes available, I say sign Youk to a one year deal and then see what happens.

Also, maybe it's time the Yankees changed the rules on facial hair. It's part of Youk's fear persona. The 1950's are over. I have no problem with the Yankees relaxing the dress code.
