The timing would be just rite to kickstart the Jets. A new coaching staff and a new philosophy is definitely needed to help Sam & the team progress and reach his full potential. I was a Bowles & Bates supporter at the beginning of the year but the way things have gone I am ready for a change. This zone running scheme sucks, the offensive play calling has no imagination and is very predictable. The time is rite this year before we destroy our QB. We have a lot of cap space to improve the roster, we have our QB with FQB potential, so why not let the new CS kickstart the team, and oh yes lets do it with new Uniforms ala Bill Parcells. This team needs a new identity and the time is rite.....lets not wait!!!
I agree for many reasons. First and foremost is that Bowles, Rodgers and Bates have proven themselves not up to the task. Second, for Sam's benefit, we need an offensive-minded HC who will be more aggressive, and will want to surround Sam with playmakers/weapons to help him not only succeed, but thrive. Third, since the left side of the OL needs to overhauled anyway, this is the time to make a coaching change. The new OC may favor a man blocking scheme or more of a power-blocking scheme, rather the the finesse zone blocking Dennison is employing. Fourth, we still have a lot of holes on the team and little depth, and are in the midst of the rebuild. You don't wanna wait until the rebuild is complete to make a change, and then have the new HC want to totally change offensive and/or defensive systems and then have to make several big personnel changes. Nothing would signify and insure the success of this new philosophy better than hiring a quality, experienced football man to run the football operation, allow him to hire the GM and the GM to hire the HC, and Chris/Woody stop meddling and making decisions. The perfect visual symbol of that change and signify a new era of Jets football would be a radically different uniform style, but still keep green (kelly) and white as our colors.
On the following link there are a lot of different ceremonial knives we could choose from to perform the rite of removing Bowles. https://www.google.com/search?q=cer...eAhUtmeAKHX3mBiYQ7Al6BAgAEA0&biw=1880&bih=939
i agree completely ..this team to turn over a new leaf, have a positive attitude and start dressing for success! Wow..I am starting to sound like Tony Robbins
Not sure it really matters what they wear when they go out there anymore. The new uniforms can look fantastic, but as long as the Johnsons are picking the coaching staff, the players, etc., we're not going anywhere.
Well here's the thing though, they outsourced the hiring of a new coach last time (brought in a few consultants, Charley Casserly being one of them) and they still got it wrong with Bowles Don't know what kind of input they have on . I don't necessarily love the Johnsons but they are much better than Hess
Not necessarily, but probable if Mac isn't fired as well. We could get lucky with a new GM and HC, but the best thing would be to hire a Director of Football Operations and allow him to make all the decisions on hiring and firing with no input or meddling from the Johnsons.
Chris seems to be better than Hess, but not Woody. Woody is every bit the ignorant doofus that Hess was. In fact, he's worse, because Hess never promised to get the Jets their own home, failed miserably, then crawled back to a partnership with the Giants, rather than wait and find another suitable site and building it himself.
We should try dressing up like the 1992 Cowboys. Our opponents might panic. By the time they figured out we suck, it's too late.
Maybe they could wear Patriots uniforms. That should take care of the penalty problem. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
