anyone up to create a new header for this message board? It should utilize the new logo, current site colors, etc..

I am going to revamp the board in the next few weeks

While you are at it, how about somebody creating a FavIcon for the site too.

How about a high quality pic of the logo? That would help.

It's nice, but about 12 sizes too big.

Would the Sanchez image would be subject to copyright?

what's the screen resolution of your monitor? I did make it 1280px wide, but most PCs these days work with much higher resolution than that.

In years past, 1024px was pretty standard.

    That's a good question.

Hmm, although I'd think that TGG is a noncommercial use, it does seem like permission from NY Times is required first because it's not personal.

Getting permission shouldn't be hard at all.

I like the left side... would drop the Sanchez picture, so the right hand side would just flow into a solid green background and work fine on any screen resolution. I also think it's too tall. Don't need the schedule there either.

My monitor is 1920x1200. Modern banners, unless on a centered page, need to flow into a solid/pattern/background to be expandable to any width, like what is there now.

I think Petro is looking some something in the size neighborhood of what is there now.

Plus, a lot of users, such as myself, view the site occasionally from phones and netbooks. Netbook screens are 1024px wide, phones obviously less and it's a lot to scroll though. The forum as is, is pretty friendly to both my iPhone and Dell Mini.

The banner is very nicely designed, although i would unify the tilt angle of the opponents logos.

Here it is. The Hex for BG is 004231.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. Fixed width banners do make it a living hell for phones and net books. Well Petro wanted all the extra things out anyway so there shouldn't be any issues.

Thanks for your input Mantana Soss.

can't say that I like the 3d look in this one... looks a few years outdated

I'm looking for more of a Web 2.0 look, which usually means simple and straight to the point
