I am half considering putting together a league and inviting you guys to it, just so you get your feet wet with auctions. I just don't know if I am enthused enough to play FF this year beyond the dynasty I am running. But, we'll see. Let me know if there is interest.

I would pass, but thanks for offering.

I have one standard draft & one auction draft league so I'm set. I max out at 2.

Realized last night that a draft for me it is not even a possibility. My wife's laptop is on the fritz and I am not going over anyone else's house to do a draft. Participating via phone, even if possible, would be annoying and difficult.

Therefore, I will stick to my one league. It is a dynasty league and had a slow rookie draft in May. My computer access issue wasn't an issue.

2015 might be a different story. I am planning to start a new dynasty league at mfl. My current league is on that site. Some people do not like the look of that site, but it functions better than Yahoo, CBS and ESPN and is great for dynasty leagues.

^ I think that looks pretty standard.

You don't lose points for fumbles, though?

When you say pretty standard, what do you mean? Is it a league that stresses receivers or RBs or QBs at the expense of the others?

For instance do you take McCoy 1 or Peyton or Megatron?

It's an 8 team league don't know where we're drafting yet.

If I read it correctly, then your Qbs, RBs, and WRs get 1 point for every 10 yards. That makes yardage value equal for all 3. However, the top Qbs will put up more monster yardage type games than the RBs and WRs will (consistently). So, that makes Qb pretty valuable. In my league, Qb gets 1 point for every 25 yards (instead of 10). However, our Qbs get 6 points for rushing/throwing TDs (whereas your Qbs get 4 points).

Since Qb TDs are only worth 4 points in your league, I would focus on RB and WR early. Having said that, it might be hard to pass on Brees or Rogers early on because they'll probably both throw for 5,000 yards and bunch of TDs this year.

Also, I think I missed this in your rules -- is it PPR? In my league, WRs, TEs, and RBs get 0.5 for each reception. So, if you had a guy who caught 4 passes for 0 yards, he'd still have 2 points on his receptions alone. So, it's something essential when considering WRs because PPR makes someone like Julian Eddelman valuable (middle rounds); I think he had a game last year with like 14 receptions.

They get 1 point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving. 0.05 points for every yard passing. 1 point for every reception

Who is "they"? Haha pronouns are confusing here because of the minor point differences in the positions.

If your Qb throws for 100 yards, then how many points is it?

If your RB rushes for 100 yards, how many points?

If your WR has 100 receiving yards, the how many points is it (excluding receptions)?

*edit* So, it'd be 5 points, 10 points, 10 points for the above, yes?

I would take McCoy. Your league is a PPR (points per reception) league, so if you look online for anything remember that as that changes rankings a bit.

    http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/rankings/points-per-reception/yearly
This CBS link gives you general knowledge of where players should be taken.
The rankings shouldn't be your list and only care about that. They should just guide you to realize where players should generally go.

PPR makes wide receivers who catch a lot very valuable as 1 catch = 10 yards of receiving in scoring. So Edelman can catch 10 passes for 70 yards and 0 TDs and get 17 points while Calvin can catch 3 passes for 80 yards and TD and get 17 points. In the later rounds, look for receivers on pass happy teams who may not get TDs, but get thrown the ball a lot. This also should be included for running backs. Someone like Lynch might not be as valuable as other running backs since he doesn't receive as much.

QB is obviously important, but I think top RBs and WR and maybe one or TE come first. That's just because QBs have their stats weighted against them. A passing TD is worth 4 where as rushing or receiving TD is worth 6. Every 100 yards a QB throws, they get 5 points, every 100 yards a running back runs or a WR receives is worth 10 points (that's 10 points on top of 1 point for every catch leading to the 100 yards receiving). This also makes running QBs interesting choice.

I mean they as in JStokes league haha.

100*0.05 is 5 points for the QB
100*0.1 is 10 points for the RB
100*0.1 is 10 points for the WR

But it works all the way across. If a player (QB, WR, RB, K) throws a pass, it's 0.05 points per passing yard. If a player (QB, WR, RB, K) catches a pass, it's 0.1 points per receiving yard. That's how I read the rules JStokes posted.

Yeah, I think with the 1st Pick, McCoy is the guy, no matter what. In that Offensive system and with his ability to catch passes, he's a monster.

I'm concerned about Jamaal Charles this year because who are the Chiefs' other weapons?

    Best backup QB available.

Very cool event, David Wright is involved with this charity program with Adam Wainright, his brother Trey is helping organize the league across MLB, good dude. Wright is just an all around quality and sincere person, he's definitely hurting-I offered him some of my Skelaxin and he was jokingly going to take me up on it. Always thought Murphy was standoffish but he's really just shy. Dillon Gee you'd walk by on the street and not recognize him as a ball player and Neise is very quiet, laid back. Matt Harvey looks like he could be a bit cocky, was very nice but he definitely has an edge to him whereas Wright is just genuinely nice.

Wright raised $50k yesterday for the Ronald McDonald House, 7 other major league teams are doing it.
