Might as well give Benny Cunningham a shot. I picked him up the same week I picked up Mike Asiata, and after Asiata got me a bunch of points a few weeks ago I cut Cunningham. Asiata proceeded to get me 4 points yesterday effectively helping to knock me out of the playoffs. No idea what Benny did but he can't be worse. _
Thanks Stokes. First I will wait for the waiver wire tomorrow morning to see who sheds who. Then I will pick up Cunningham if there is no better option.
In my league, once you get knocked out of the playoffs your roster is locked and you can no longer waive players so playoff teams can't revamp their roster. _
Hmm. Strict rule. Not sure if this is widespread. In our league last week was the last week for trades but no limit to waiver wire for any team.
Agree with most already mentioned. Jonas Gray is probably your best option by default, if you can land him, as his stock obviously just went way up. Only problem is that you never know how the Pats will distribute touches, but a 40 carry game has to instill some confidence. Carlos Hyde seems to be getting a few more carries, based on the past two games, and there's the hope that he'll get more if they really are moving on from Gore after the season. If you have the roster flexibility to stash, Joseph Randle might be worth it considering Murray's current workload vs. injury history. The fact that he broke a long TD run in Dallas' last game might get him a few more looks, too.
Thanks guys. I already put a claim on him but I am 7th in waiver wire so I think somebody will snatch him ahead of him. Joseph Randle is a good choice. In fact I will put a claim on him now. As soon as something happens to Murray he should help me big time.
Or just get Dan Herron to replace Bradshaw. I assume Gray was picked up already. Murray and Hyde are probably the only other two guys I'd consider. I wouldn't touch a Rams skill player with a ten foot pole.
A guy I had as a sleeper that never panned out was Devonta Freeman. He has shown a few flashes, but he gets very few touches. If Atlanta gets eliminated or Stephen Jackson gets hurt, he could see his workload increase. May be worth a grab, not on many people's radar, but putting him on the roster now could help.
CJ Anderson is the only back on the Broncos besides Juwan Thompson, that list sucks but I would almost take a chance on Thompson, especially if the Broncos are on the goal-line
I'd pick up Blount now too if you can. Jonas Gray hasn't really proved anything, and Blount did well in his time in NE. Maybe they split carries, maybe Gray keeps getting the ball, but he's worth a stash on the bench.
Not a fan. He's the same type of back as Jacquizz. Too bad Antone broke his leg. But anybody who gets touches is valuable at this point.
I'm not a huge fan either, he has shown very little this year. The only hope is that Jackson would get hurt and they would just give him the workload rather than Jacquizz to see if they have anything in him.
Blount is on another guy's roster. I put a claim on Ben Tate. I will find out if I got him or not by tomorrow. By the way Dan Herron became available. Do I pick him up or no?
