He mismanaged the bullpen. He should have took Black out. He also when it was a 3-2 count on Utley, he called for an intentional walk. I just don't get it. Why not at least try to get him to swing at something?

Wow Recker has been a hell of a backup.

Could've been in great position for the sweep right now.

    ~sighhhh~

Montero looked great . Syndergaard could not have been any worse . Time to give Syndergaard a shot . He could use the experience . What the hell else are we playing for now .

I think Syndergaard is the only thing the Wilpons have to sell the fan base the rest of the way.

Btw, love reading the articles about how the Yankees are going to go hard after Giancarlo Stanton this winter while we try to figure out whether Matt Den Dekker can hit over .235.

The rain delay probably messed with Montero yesterday.

Not like we were gonna get any runs for him anyway. Missed chance after missed chance with the offense. No surprise there.

As for Giancarlo. I know the Marlins are the Marlins but I cant see how they could trade him and not fold the franchise. You have to eventually pay someone and why not pay the 2nd best hitter in baseball? Trading him for anything other than Mike Trout would chase away the 7 remaining fans that probably still care about the Marlins. They built a pretty decent young team down there. Maybe not as good as what they had with Cabrera and Hanley but still something.

Plus the Yankees dont have enough to trade for him. Betances is great and all but his numbers get enhanced because he's a Yankee. There are a lot of young guys out there with great stuff we just dont hear about them cause they play in smaller markets. Watch him turn into another Joba because the Yanks dont know how to handle young pitchers.

Curtis Granderson has been worth every penny spent on him thus far.

They should just rename Citi Field to nationals field or something. They own us.

Apparently deGrom is going to be okay, just rotator cuff tendinitis and nothing serious.

But with the Mets medical staff you never know. It turn out to be a torn ACL.

The Mets lost to the Shits again. What the fuck? How come they can't beat those fucktards? Their record is 2-5 against that queer team.

Aaand Dillon Gee can't throw a fucking strike to save his life.

Bunch of walks and now a bases clearing double.

    4-1.

    Why do I even watch.

David Wright is making me sad. What is going on with him? He's been awful.

    He is probably playing hurt.

Colon would be good to take Garrett Richards' spot in the Angels rotation. They also lost Tyler Skaggs to injury. Problem is, the Angels are last in the waiver order last time I looked. With Big Time Timmy Jim sucking again, maybe the Giants will claim Colon.

I am not sure what those teams have to offer the Mets beyond a decent prospect and simply taking the Mets off the hook for the rest of Colon's contract. By "decent prospect" I mean a player who would rate somewhere between 5 and 15 on a Baseball America prospect ranking list for a team.

Yeah, Wright has a mysterious ailment that only effects him vs RHP. If he's going to be this bad for the rest of his contract the Mets are in deep shit.

Hasn't there been talk of a shoulder problem?
If he is totally healthy, then what is the issue? It would be one of two things. Either he used to cheat and no longer does or he has completely lost it like Jason Bay.

The fact that he's hitting .400 against lefties would seem to rule out any kind of acute injury. So either it's something minor that he can't compensate for against righties or his skills have deteriorated to the point where he's basically a platoon player. I guess the injury is the preferred option but the fact that a shoulder tweak can reduce him to Tejada levels of production doesn't bode well for him going forward.

Obviously Wright will start next season as the #3 hitter. But what do the Mets do if this time next season he's just as bad? They owe him about $100 mill.
