    The Athletics are at it again. They just locked up the division on the last game of the season.

    the "experts" had them projected in the 74 win neighborhood before the season started.

    That movie was phenomenal. Is Billy Bean still with the club?:beer:

    yes the movie was cool, and yes it's hard to compete with such a low budget, but i feel alot of people overlook the fact that they did have one hell of a pitching staff in the earlier part of the 2000-2010-decade.
    Mulder, Hudson, and Zito. When you have 3 horses like that, your chances are fairly good already, they didn't focus too much on the pitching end of things in that movie in my opinion. Yes they did a great job of shuffling and replacing their two biggest position players in giambi and damon, but they still had those 3 starters, who were no slouches whatsoever.

    He is still the GM of Athletics and also minority owner of the team

    Bean could have any GM job in the game... but he stays in Oakland

    Good for him.

    nothing but congratulations to the A's, nobody had them in this position.
