yes the movie was cool, and yes it's hard to compete with such a low budget, but i feel alot of people overlook the fact that they did have one hell of a pitching staff in the earlier part of the 2000-2010-decade. Mulder, Hudson, and Zito. When you have 3 horses like that, your chances are fairly good already, they didn't focus too much on the pitching end of things in that movie in my opinion. Yes they did a great job of shuffling and replacing their two biggest position players in giambi and damon, but they still had those 3 starters, who were no slouches whatsoever.
