I thought it might be fun to create a thread to keep track of the various players mocked to the Jets.

In his first mock draft, Todd McShay has given Alabama OLB Tim Williams to the Jets.

In Conner Hughes' 1st mock draft, he has the Jets taking the following players:

    Rd. 1 - Jabrill Peppers, S/CB, Michigan

Rd. 2- Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin

Rd. 3 - Jake Butt, TE, Michigan

    Rd. 5 - Elijah McGuire, RB, Louisiana-Lafayette

    Rd. 6 - Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn

Rd. 7 - Mack Hollins, WR, UNC

In Conner Hughes' 2nd mock draft, he has the Jets taking the following players:

Rd. 1 - Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

Rd. 2 - Garrett Boles, OT, Utah

Rd. 3 - Kendell Beckwith, ILB, LSU

    Rd. 5 - Kyle Fuller, C, Baylor

Rd. 6 - Josiah Price, TE, Michigan St.

Rd. 7 - Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona St.

McShay is an idiot. There is no chance the Jets are taking another undersized LB especially one with an arrest record at 6.

Flip Peppers with Barnett and I'd sign up for that every day of the week. Doubt Ramczyk falls to the second round though. I'd imagine the Panthers take Robinson in the first leaving 27 or so picks to take the second offensive tackle off the board.

The Star-Ledger's Slater has done his first 7-round mock draft for the Jets. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2016/12/jets_7-round_mock_draft_slater_10_will_they_pick_a.html#3

    Following are his picks.

Rd. 1 - Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama
Rd. 2 - Roderick Johnson, OT, FSU
    Rd. 3 - Tyler Orloskly, C, WVA
Rd. 5 - Johnathan Ford, FS, Auburn (the video clip is labeled Auburn vs LSU, but it's Kentucky)
Rd. 6 - Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio St.
Rd. 7 - James Unwualu, OLB, Notre Dame

I can't believe that the Jets will wait until the 6th round to address the CB position.

I don't think Conley will even be available in the sixth anyways. He'll probably be out of the equation by the third, fourth if he really falls. And that's considering how deep CB is this year.

I hope we stay away from that Bama OLB.

If we draft a Bama LB, in rd 1, it should be Reuben Foster, IMO, he's Bama's best defensive player next to Allen.

Drafting a MLB wouldn't be a popular pick among most Jet fans.

I have a lot of belief Foster is going to be a star.

Agreed. I like Foster and Adams for our pick.

How would you say he compares to Kuechly and Patrick Willis coming out? Good middle linebackers can be culture changers for an entire defense. There's a reason that the Panthers defense is usually excellent since he's been in the league despite all the moving pieces. If he's like Kuechly, then Foster could be an excellent pick.

I think You nailed it with the Kuechly comparison. Foster is a good athlete and can rush the passer, play sideline to sideline and drop in coverage. He does everything well, but is not a freak, like Willis when he was drafted. I saw someone mention that Foster is a player you build your defense around, this is so true. A natural leader that has great instincts, who would play every down.

Foster should be drafted in the 6-10 range, but it depends on team needs and could fall into the teens at worst.

From the standpoint of being a true football player, he's outstanding.

IMO, He's a much better player than Hightower ( I wanted for the Jets) & Ragland.

If the Jets were smart, they will consider Foster, the defense needs a new leader. I know a lot of people will think it's crazy to draft another inside LB, but Lee IMO, isn't a true inside player, especially when the Jets use a 4-3.

I just can't understand how some of our fans could accept drafting Fournette with 5th or 6th pick.
We are going to have a lot of holes and drafting an RB who can be easily a bust and you would use him behind our OL?

Rueben Foster just might be the only defensive player I could live with in 1st Rd. The guy has natural born leader written all over him and that Is as big a need as any.

Bleacher Report is generally a trash source, so I wouldn't put much stock into it.

I just don't get how anyone can be comfortable taking Kizer high. He's 14-11 as a starter while only completing 60.7 of his passes. Raw skills or not, he was pretty pedestrian this year yet he's pretty much a top 5 pick across the board. He has bust written all over him IMO.

Has Adams declared yetv? I thought I heard he was leaning towards going back to LSU, but I could be confusing him with someone else
