just got my seats on the cheap.the mets office called me and was offering me tickets all over.i told them the prices i saw on stub hub and she moved me 1 section closer to home plate $12 cheaper per seat and waived the service fees.very nice girl. well the tradition continues this will be my oldest sons 7 straight opener youngest sons 2 and my daughters first.i have only missed a few since 1985.and haven't missed 1 since 2001.

    anyone else going?

I wish I could. Mets are usually good on Opening Day so i'm hoping for the best.

Excellent first start for Johan. The pitchers are ahead of the hitters around baseball so far today - 16+ innings pitched in four games, and no runs scored. Braves are threatening now, however.

Less than 6 innings into the first game of the season, and Keith already states his incorrect cliche that "a leadoff walk always ends up biting you." No, Keith, it's leadoff baserunners that hurt; there is absolutely no evidence that a leadoff walk is any worse (or better) than a leadoff single. I know, since I've looked at the data at the level of individual at bats.

Torres misjudges a line drive to CF, turning it into a triple and reinjuring his calf at the same time. Considering how weak the Mets' bench is, this is just about the worst thing that could happen to them.

More importantly Mt Francisco didn't implode with the game on the line...

Hey only 67 more wins on the season to make my win total guess on the season incorrect

The new guy on the radio has a voice for a blog and basically blows. This is the best they can do???. And someone should tell Howie Rose that's its opening day, not the World Series. Geez!!!

The new guy you are talkin about is Josh Lewin I think. He was on a radio show down here on the cbs Dallas station. His show was ok.. I never cared much for Wayne Hagin either.
