    continuing my "baywatch"....yeah I know

Anyway our future hof'er lifted one into the outfield yesterday which now lifts his grapefruit league to a great 5 for 20..clearly his new swing is lighting it up!!!

Niese will be our surprise as such this year as I see him being a potential 12 win pitcher if the rest of the team performs to an adequate level.

haha..I guess you guys are still stuck with the Wilpons.

New York Mets owners reach agreement to pay $162 million to settle claims related to the Bernard Madoff case.

My exact thought, I wonder if Bud had a hand in this to help his friends out.

By end of season we could have lowest salary in Baseball..Wright traded, Bay given away and Pelfrey handed to a passer by....

    FUCK THE WILPONS!!!!!!!!!

The Wilpons make it hard to be a Mets fan. I guess it could be worse we could root for the Cubs. They not only suck, but have not won in over 100 years.

To be fair, what do you think we would get back for Bay or Pelfrey?

Pelfrey has been pretty terrible for 2 years now and is continuing his terrible performance this spring.

to me Pelfrey was signed with a view to trading hm, some play off fool will offer a minor leaguer...I would rather have that than the continual excuses from Pelfrey

Bay will be traded, similar to Burnett deal we will pick up 60% of his salary and get fuck all in return

Both of the above are an upside on having them in our club

As long as they're both off the club asap then the Mets are heading in the right direction.

Pelfry could be a guy traded to a contender that needs a 4th or 5th starter, think like Detroit if a guy like Porcello doesn't work out again. It's a good park for a pitcher like him.

Bay isn't going to be traded unless the Mets pay all of his salary, I'm sure the posts can be found but I hated the signing when it happened and even more now.

I seriously have absolutely no interest in watching this team at all this season. Pretty sad that in 6 years we have gone from quite possibly a team set to make a run or 2 at winning a WS to a team that might lose 100 games while teams like Milwaukee and Texas have gone from bad teams to WS contenders each of the last few seasons. It's amazing what a change of ownership does for you. Yes the Dodgers have similar problems but they at least have players you want to watch.... what the fuck do the Mets have?

If the Wilpons had an ounce of credibility left they would at least try and pick up one or two reasonable FA that are still out there....however they don't so we know it won't happen.

A signing like Oswalt or Vazquez would at least give the fans something to cling on to....

Having said that my 3 tickets are booked for the Astros v mets in early may...struggled finding 800 seats together.....

Lucas Duda. That way whenever he hits a walk-off we can play the song "Camptown Races".

Pelfrey has a high ankle sprain, which he injured during the off season and re-aggravated early in camp. Not sure why he was still pitching, especially early in the spring, when he should have been sitting out.

He still sucks either way, but maybe this is a reason of why he's been extra terrible this spring.
