Yeah I'm not too familiar with him I know he's graded as bottom first round. I would take any viable LT prospect or edge rusher......the Jets need to hit a HR with this draft. QB ( if not a FA ), at least 2 starting OL, RB or even 2, and an edge rusher.....

Regardless, CB can be taken care of in FA. After spending two high picks last year in the secondary, blowing the #6 on another CB - let alone Alabama again - is insane.....there are too many gaping holes on this roster.

Oh my lord. If the Browns end up picking Josh Allen with the number one pick, I'd actually start feeling sorry for them.

Senior Bowl week will be huge for Allen. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the 1st pick although at this point I still thinks it’s Darnold.

If the Jets take a DB with their first pick I'm done! If they took the best pass rusher I still wouldn't like it but could understand it and swallow it, but another f'in DB? If you don't put constant pressure on the QB - especially the better ones - they will pick apart your secondary no matter who you have back there. But until they solve the gaping chasm at QB, anything else is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The only solace I take from this mock is that these guys are almost always wrong.

If I wanted to get everyone talking about my 1st of 12 mock drafts to come I peruse the message of boards of some of the passionate fan bases and then mock it as best I could to rile those fans up to come see it for themselves.
    Well done Mel,well done

Id be fine taking a CB but Fitzpatrick is more of a safety. He could play some nickel, but way too big to be a #1 CB.

At this point in his lengthy career of doing this, I very much doubt Mel gets paid based on the number of clicks he gets.

Mel is a dumbass, probably didn't watch 1 tape from this season of college football. Nope, you won't get a click from me.

TY for posting the mock Brook.

But if the traffic stops flowing do you think he would still be the out front guy they have made him to be?
He still has to keep himself relevant

LOL...ok you guys crack me up with your conspiracy theories. BTW I believe Kiper has Allen rated below the other 2 Cali QBs but believes the Browns are high on him. Part of that can be that the Browns are clueless and/or they've received word that the other 2 don't really want to go to Cleveland.

What conspiracy theory? He is working for his next contract just like any on air, print or Internet personality at espn.

You have to admire Mel Kiper for the business he's built and his contribution to the draft as a real event. On the other hand, I've always had the impression that the NFL world has zero use for Mel and considers him just some rank amateur who watches a lot of college football.

    1000% agree.

Lock down corner holds coverage for what, 4 seconds? Left unabated, any QB will find someone after that.

Pass rusher should come well before secondary if there is no QB available at 6.

Of course it does that’s why there are the good ones and the shock value ones and the rest just fade into oblivion. Specialist like Mel really have to bounce between the two. Otherwise there would be no need for mock 1.0,2.0 etc .

Allen #1 is bold but I can see it happening just because the kid has so much talent. Too bad Cleveland will destroy him within 2 years...

I’m a big Bama fan and love Fitzpatrick but no chance we take him.. he’s a natural FS and would be ridiculous considering our draft class last year at safety.

This draft is worse case scenario.. I think we take an OT if it falls this way

Good ol Mel doesn’t even have the best OT in the draft in his first round lol

Orlando Brown is a beast and will be a stud for a long time.. I doubt he makes it past 15
