Tennessee Make it three free agents, the Titans signed wide receiver David Givens and agreed to terms with center Kevin Mawae Tuesday morning. ''I think David again is the prime candidate for free agency,'' General Manager Floyd Reese said. ''He's young, he's healthy, he's productive, he is as classy as anyone you will want to meet. Will be a leader on our team and to top it all off, he's got more Super Bowl rings than he's got fingers for." Givens and Mawae make it three free agents in three days for Tennessee. The announcement came this hour at Baptist Sports Park. http://www.titansradio.com/
Yeah Kev I'm sure you're going to LOVE the TEN lifestyle above and beyond anything you experienced on Long Island, which you made it a point to complain about...
I doubt we sign any free agents, i thought we would, unless there is someone they are looking at that no one is looking at. But we have alot of picks so........
the jets FO straight up is thinking or rebuilding obviously, no need to retool too much so they want to hardly touch down in the FA and get a lot of potential in the draft
Kevin got his money too: Titans | Contract update: K. Mawae Tue, 14 Mar 2006 11:20:10 -0800 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports Tennessee Titans OC Kevin Mawae agreed to a four-year, $13 million deal to join the Titans, but is awaiting contract language before signing
Mawae signs with Tenn. Just heard this on 1050. They also got Givens. I would have liked to take alook at him.
Yea, should have wrote about Givens. I do not understand why we did not even hear his name mentioned. I guess i am just through with JMAC. My bad on my second re-post of the day, i am a bit slower than you guys at work.
Jets Insider.com has learned from sources close to the Titans that former Jets center Kevin Mawae has been signed by Tennessee. Mawae, 35 and a six time Pro Bowler was cut by the Jets on March 4th in a move to get younger and bigger at the position. No clear replacement has been named as of today. Rumors had circulated earlier this week that Mawae was close to signing with divison rival New England but that deal never materialized. Mawae had also reportedly visited Miami and Philadelphia.
