He is the leader of the offense and he gives the OL some stability but the Jet's need to draft his replacement this year. Kendall and Fabini are gone and really won't be missed. Kendall got pushed around way to much and Fabini is a back-up at best. 2006 is probably going to be a tough year but I believe Mangini can turn this around so that the Jet's are a playoff team in 2007 . I think Jay Cutler is the Jet's starting QB the second half of the year.

I think Kev will be back too. He really didn't do anything to lose his job. He got hurt. The man never misses a game and was still very effictive before it happened. Maybe the following year but not next.

He has to come back. Hes the leader and the heart of the O line. His loss was huge this year.

I really don't want to have to find another avatar, oh yeah, and he's our best OL too!

I hope he stays, he's crucial to our o-line, and I don't see the jets having any reason to cut him anyway.

Jets | Mawae will apparently refuse pay cut
    Fri, 17 Feb 2006 05:27:31 -0800

Ken Berger, of Newsday, reports New York Jets OC Kevin Mawae, coming off surgery to repair a torn left triceps, apparently will refuse to take a pay cut and will ask the Jets to release him if they can't handle his projected $4.5 million cap figure.

    It's a cap issue.
