You chip your nail polish clicking one extra time to look at the thread in the NFL section? This thread has "A LOT of Jet fan interest"? There have been a total of 20 posts in an entire day and most of them were just ridiculing the thread and Sanchez. The Live Bald Eagle Web Cam thread had more interest than this.
I was actually at this game. The crowd grumble is something I'll never forget lol. I still don't see how this could even of happened lmao, it's like he purposely rammed him.
Vince Wilfork stacked up Brandon Moore and pushed him into Sanchez path. However Sanchez should have see that coming. Wilfork already had Moore on his back foot and was turning him as Sanchez made the fatal cut into Moore's butt. It's a shame that a good player who gave the Jets so much over the years gets remembered for that play. He did get stacked up by Wilfork but lots of guards had that happen over the years.
MY QUARTERBACK!!!!!!!! where are all those guys these days? still at their little kids forum? oh and i wonder if junc has already invaded the bears fan forums.. im sure he has.
Yeah...it's great junc got to invade and pollute at least 4 forums so far. Is he still banned from here?
I just looked him up. he has not been here for 1 year and 35 weeks. however it does appear that he is no longer banned. hopefully he never realizes it though.
Never really understood all the hate for Sanchez. Yes, he is known for the butt fumble, and was carried by our defense during our two AFC championships. But he carried himself with class, when he consistently got destroyed by fans and the media. Yes we know, he sucked but its over now, pointless to carry resentment.
I happened to like Sanchez. They shoved him out there and he did ok. More than ok actually...if getting to 2 AFC Champ games is any measure.
the problem with sanchez is that he just wasnt ever very good. he had one decent year and our fanbase which wanted SO badly to have a franchise qb went BANANAS over him. even though he was obviously a middling at best qb. guys wanted for him to be good so badly they just refused to see the issues he had. i never liked him from day 1 because he was a usc guy and i never thought he was any good. i think the hate for sanchez came from the back and forth about him and the absolute love that some posters had for him. remember it wasnt always just junc posting how great sanchez was, there was a time here when if you said something bad or negative about him you had a crew of 20 grown children acting like idiots in your thread, that was the my quarterback group. it all worked out in the end, its been obvious that sanchez was in fact a middling qb who couldnt ever do anything consistently including make check down passes and that group is all gone to other sites to annoy people.
I think it's because he encapsulated the Jets so well. Show a bunch of promise and get fan hopes up, then turn to utter dog crap and embarrass the franchise. Mark Sanchez was the ultimate New York Jets player.
Yeah, I was there too. Only Jets game or sporting event in general that Ive ever left at half-time. Left a wonderful turkey feast at home to go to that. Pretty sure we fumbled a kick off return for a TD either right before or after the buttfumble too. Good times.
People actually blame Moore for that play? That's like blaming the guy sitting at a stoplight for getting rear ended, instead of the drunk guy that plowed into him going 60.
Nobody blames Moore for the play but they remember him for it. It's hard to have a butt fumble without both the fumble and the butt.
Sanchez was top 15 one year, in 2010, and that only because he kept bringing the Jets back in games they should have been winning running away. In 2011, which would have been his breakout season, the Jets had a hole at RT all season and Sanchez fell apart by mid-season with back to back beatings at the hands of the Pats and the Broncos. He never recovered from that and the Jets moved on 2 seasons later.
