Mo was the last guy on the Yanks I'd want to see get injured. This is awful news and an awful day for New York Yankees baseball. I'm hoping he uses rehab as motivation to tear it up for one more season next year but if it's the last we saw of him I'll be very sad.

Sucks to see the greatest closer in MLB history go down with a torn ACL on a freak injury like that

This sucks. I hope he doesn't end his career like this. Always has been my favorite Yankees player

I got the feeling 2012 was going to be his last season, hopefully this changes his mind and he comes back for one more but I wouldn't be surprised if he retired.

If he is planning to retire after this season, this is a sad way to end a career with the Yankees. Hopefully, he can rehab himself and decide to stick around for one more year

Me too. My favorite Yankee. There is not even a close second. I feel awful about this. Shaping up to be a nightmare season for the Yankees and it's only May.

Total nightmare of a seeason. Shitty way for it all to end. Oh well. I hitnk the Yankees will suck all year long...Arod is fadinf, Tex smells like balls, all our pitchers keep going down for the year. Phil hUghes is on the roster. NO bright spots

The man was never knocked off the mound the way most pitchers are at the end of their career. I see it as a very graceful way to exit, at 42, as age catches up to him without ever diminishing the skills that made him great.

Not a Yankee fan but I'm sorry to see him go. He gave me a lot of good moments sitting with my friends in Yankee stadium in the late 90's when some season tickets fell into my lap.

hahaha dude, to tell you the truth, I was arguing with my buddy last nite that the Mo thing isnt a big deal. I know, I know, its MO.

But I bet youre retarded enough to agree with me.

If Robertson closes, how many blown saves do you think he'll have? And how many would Mo have had t his year? How big a difference are we really talking about?

I htink we just suck for the other reasons and I think Tampa will win our division and I htink no one is beating Texas anyway.

    So.................

I'm not as worried about the closer as I am the set up man. Now we don't have Robertson for the 8th. A lot of pressure falls on Soriano, are you confident in him?
