The problem is that that's just the introductory rate. It will go up. I wonder how readers will react to the paywall. People get pissed when they're asked to pay for something that was previously free, especially cheapskates like me.

The Daily News is such a mixed bag. The news section isn't so hot unless you like to keep up on the antics of the Kardashians and other celebrities. The baseball columnists -- John Harper and Bill Madden --- are first rate, but I don't think as highly of Lupica, Gary Myers or Mehta. It sure looks like Mehta trades flattery for access, which would explain his boosting of the current regime.

So Manish going on Twitter and pretty much indicating Wilkerson is an alcoholic. This is the kind of shit that most fans, including myself, are not ok with. Keep it about football, not personal problems. Especially if you’re making snarky and vindictive remarks

To top it off, Boomer just said that Wilkerson's attorneys will be reaching out to Mehta's attorneys. Defamation suit perhaps?

Not cool what Mehta did. That dude makes stuff personal. He's a real low life

You have to wonder how this will affect his ability to actually get access to the locker room. Perhaps the jets can ban him citing his reporting being way too personal given Wilkerson may launch legal action against him?

It's just gone beyond reporting on football news. What player is going to want to talk to this guy?

Convinced it's why the DN still employees him. Gets people talking about the publication still in this digital age.

He fucking sucks. No substance to his work ethic whatsoever. Mo Wilk can kick rocks but what Manish did was uncalled for.

As someone who had to deal with alcohol addiction and almost lost my marriage over it I am beyond pissed at Manish. I don't like Mo at all but this time I hope Mo takes Manish to court for defamation and makes him pay.

So glad we got rid of that overrated never on time fat cat. I don't even care if he does well with his new team, because I know it won't last for long. He'll just be motivated to get paid, then once he does, he'll be back on that gravy train.

I wonder who Manish is getting his information from regarding Muhammad Wilkerson. No way he just makes up that Mo enjoys his booze.

Mehta seemed to have a personal vendetta against Mo ever since he wouldn't do interviews with him after a loss. Not professional by Mo, I'll agree, but Mehta is way over the line here. Acting like a real douche

Can the NFLPA do anything about this? I feel like the harm this will do to his ability to negotiate has got to give them some ability to have his access to players cut off. And if this is at all true i hope Mo gets any and all help he needs.
